The cosy apartment, with electric fireplace, is roomy, comfortable and well located near a grocer and a pub. A short walk to the tube. The hosts, Ted and Francoise, could not be more accommodating. Look forward to our next visit.
We arrived at Heathrow at 7 a.m. and Ted was waiting for us, making it ever so nice not to have to worry about transporting ourselves to the apartment. The next day, he took us on a tour of food markets in the East End, at our request. The apartment is very comfortable and cozy, more a home than a sterile hotel or even an apartment hotel would be. Located quite near the Sloane Square Tube station, it is also possible to take the #19 or #11 bus to central London near all the sights, as Ted told us these buses would. Waitrose is not far away and Partridge's as well. We also discovered an M&S, too. We would stay here again, no problem. Ted and Francoise and their dogs made us feel right at home, and Ted went out of us way to help when we had a sudden change of plans due to an accident while traveling in another part of England. Ted also gave us a lot of hints about how to maneuver in London aside from the buses. Really excellent arrangement and very fairly priced.
Nice apartment in a lovely quiet part of Chelsea. Close to 170 Bus (3mins walk) and about 6 mins to no 11 Bus in Kings Road. There is a small Tesco supermarket about 2 mins away. Onsite owner showed how everything worked in the apartment on arrival.
We've stayed here many times...it's a great spot, excellent neighborhood, quiet, and Ted and Francoise are great hosts! I highly recommend this place.
A great place to stay and would stay again. Lovely apartment and so handy to everything. Owners most welcoming and obliging.
We stayed one week at this spacious apartment in posh Chelsea. The location was excellent (and very safe) - a pleasant walk through streets lined with elegant homes brings you to bus lines (5-10 min) and the tube (15 min) on Kings Road. This Road has cafes, restaurants, boutiques as well as two large supermarkets. We bought some snacks to enjoy in the apartment over wine after long days of sightseeing - it was a pleasure to relax in "our" London flat. Having Ted as a landlord is indeed an asset. He loves London and enjoys sharing his enthusiasm and knowledge. He gave us a leisurely tour to sights easily missed by many tourists, such as - Prince Albert Bridge, the Wallenberg Memorial, homes of artists and writers. We enjoyed coffee with Ted at Regent Park surrounded by early Spring flowers. From the apt. we walked to V&A Museum and to Harrods, rode double decker buses 11 and 19 for great views of the city, and enjoyed great people watching at the weekend food market in Chelsea's Duke of York plaza. We will book with Ted again on our next trip to London.
Located in the heart of old Chelsea. One of the most desirable areas of central London. Lots of restaurants including Gordon Ramsey flagship only a few minutes away. The Victoria and Albert museum, Science Museum, Natural History museum are twenty minutes walk. All are free entry. Harrods Department Store is close to these museums.
