studio, 3/4 bathroom, sleeps 2 max.

The studio is a very private and romantic hideaway in the exciting beach community of Belmont Shore. It can comfortably accommodate 1 person or a couple.

The curtains in front of the bed provide some privacy if one person wishes to stay up to read. And, if work is on the agenda, the drop-leaf dining table doubles as a large desk.

It has air-conditioning. All major applicances and utensils are provided but why not eliminate the chore of cooking and take advantage of the various restaurants, fast food eateries and coffee houses in the area.

There is seldom a dull moment in Belmont Shore and the nearby cities. If you should run out of things to do, there is always the pastime of 'people watching'.

About Colleen or Al

Al was born in Honolulu and grew up in Long Beach with a strong focus on sports such as: swimming, water polo, volleyball, cycling, & golfing......now he plays bridge. Colleen was born in Hong Kong but left at 5 years old for NYC. She isn't very athletic, but will join Al for snow skiing when the conditions are perfect. Instead, she enjoys decorating and gardening. They both do Argentine tango and ballroom dancing on the weekends. Waldo, their rescued terrier mix, watches over Colleen and barks at intruders.

The studio is only 3 blocks from the beach and a very short walk to restaurants, shops, banks, and other amenities. Just 1 block away is the bus stop to the Long Beach Convention Center, Aquarium of the Pacific, the Queen Mary and numerous restaurants in downtown Long Beach and Shoreline Village.

Belmont Shore is the ideal place to stay and play - a convenient base for accessing the attractions of Los Angeles and Orange County.

Thanks for a wonderful stay in this cozy Studio Hideaway. We had a perfect week - escaping the cold & snow in Minnesota. Everything was perfect - and so quiet even though we are in the middle of a lively area. This was the perfect location for us to base while visiting our daughter, son-in-law and new baby up the street.

We will definitely be back!

Just wanted to drop you a quick line and let you know how much we enjoyed staying at the Studio Hideaway. We had an amazing time. It was decorated so beautifully we felt right at home the instant we walked in. It had everything we needed. We enjoyed home cooked meals and if we were looking for an outing, there were cafes, restaurants and plenty of nearby activities just a short walk away on 2nd St. Next year, we hope to be staying there so we may enjoy the parade. Thank you for making our romantic retreat so wonderful.

Thank you for accommodating our extended stay on such short notice. It was much appreciated.

Great get-away

This property was perfect for my vacation. It was very clean and comfortable- and had everything that I needed. It is in a great location - close to 2nd st which is a great location for food and drinks with friends or your partner. I recommend this property to people who need a home base - to sleep and shower and make a small meal - and then head out for your California adventure. The bed was SUPER comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to a friend.
Also - the owners were available and easily accessible - upon check-in we had a slight issue with getting in. This ended up being our error (we were at the wrong unit ..) but Colleen was very helpful and patient and ready to come right over to assist us. Thank-you very much!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
