Fabulous property!

Our group consisted of 10 women which spent 3 nights at this fabulous property! We could not have asked for a better experience. Todd and Melanie were great to work with and the house is awesome! Lots of indoor/outdoor space. We had hiking right off the property but it was just a short drive into town. I would highly recommend this property to anyone! Can't wait to take my family next time!

Just another piece of information - taxi rides into town (lower state) only cost about $15. Once we were in town, we walked everywhere!

Our family gathered at the beautiful Mediterranean Villa in January 2011. It is spacious and well-appointed and clean. We had gourmet dinners al fresco and inside. The owners were accomodating and helpful. I would reccomend to all friends and family.

a great meeting place

My family met here for a family get together. This house is lovely, and has atmosphere and character. It has a big, airy feel. It's a hacienda that is built around an open courtyard Many of the bedrooms are spaced well apart so as to give a sense of extra privacy. The property was in very good condition. The house is right near the very lovely Santa Barbara Botanical Gardens, nestled in the Santa Barbara hills. It is well-appointed, with nice furniture that adds to the Spanish feel. It has the latest you could want in big screen TV, wifi, The house is well maintained. We all loved it, and were talking about coming again sometime.

Note, if you use GPS to get to the house, it may lead you astray - it did us. Mapquest has a fair set of directions to this address.

Great family vacation!

We stayed at the property over the Thanksgiving Holiday. We had family members from blended families and some small children. We all had a great time. The house is very spacious with tremendous grounds enabling everyone to get together or be apart. I even walked into town one day and rode a bike back the next (not for the faint hearted as the hills are steep!) Wonderful access to hiking, botanical gardens, mission, downtown, and the beaches. Extensive trail system up behind the house where you can hike for many miles. Owners were very responsive to all of our needs.

Shangri La Discovered - Don;t miss this one!

From the moment we drove up to the house we knew we had reached our special spot – birds singing, a large private property encased with georgious Calinforina oaks, a beautiful mountain sky line in the backdrop and the most incredible Mediterranean architecture and garden. The home truly reflects Santa Barbara history and style and the back yard pool/spa area is like something from a 5 star resort.

We choose this property not only for its beauty buy also location. We wanted to be close to downtown and the beach yet have privacy and be walking distance to the 7 falls trails and Botanic Garden. We had the best of all worlds – minutes to downtown and the Beach.

However, leaving the home was a challenge because we had cozy nights by the fire and the spa, while cooking in the gourmet kitchen and outdoor barbeque area. The kitchen has everything that is needed including spices and simple things like sharp knives.

And for us the best part was the cleanliness – as we are a neat freak family – and the home is incredibly clean. Not to mention we called the owner about the beds that were so comfortable that we are going to buy one too!

We have stayed in several locations in Santa Barbara and there is nothing like this. We highly recommend it and will return for sure.
