When my family and I first visited this area, we knew right away that it was the perfect place to vacation at. We enjoyed every minute of the time we spend in Cancun. We visit every 3 months.
Aside from the wonderful ocean view, waking up in the morning with your nice cup of coffee or tea and enjoying the scenery, another unique benefit is that you may have a personal housekeeper (for an extra fee)While enjoying your stay you will not have to worry about chores.
We stayed in this condo for a week end of May beginning of Juned 2013. The condo was very neat and clean. The most beautiful view off the balcony and living room! The beach was amazing! The owners were very hospitable. Any questions and issues that came up, they were beyond helpful! Very nice people! Loved the location! Very safe! Highy reccomend!
Our stay was excellent at the Condo. There were no surprises. We traveled with our immediate family of 4 (18 year-old and 14 month-old girls), our parents, and my bachelor brother. There was plenty of room and beds for everyone so as not to be in each others way. Our 18 year old stayed in the maid's quarters - the 4th small room with a bathroom. She was happy to have her own room, but used our bathroom since hers was really small and basic. The kitchen was a bit small, but fully equipped (nice new appliances) and we cooked quite a bit.
The owner happened to be in his unit during our stay and made himself available for anything we needed. He was a great host.
The views from the condo were better than I thought. The condo faced Isla Mujeres and the rest of Cancun so I wasn't sure how the views would be, but they were spectacular. The 2nd and 3rd bedroom also had a partial view of the ocean which was a pleasant surprise. My 83 year-old dad spent the whole time on the balcony practically. He called it Paradise! The complex is very secure, quiet, and has mostly families - no rowdy touristy crowds. If you are looking for the young party crowd, this is not the place for you. (We did walk over to Daddy O's and Mandala's one night with our 18 year old and that was fun...a bit too crazy for us, but fun)
The bus stop was right in front of the complex, shopping mall and Starbucks also right across the street. Ferry to Isla Mujeres is right next door and a pricey $20 per person but a 15 min ride. At Isla head to ChiChi's and Charlies (small hotel and bar/restaurant) at the end of the boardwalk for the best seafood lunch. The coconut shrimp was the BEST I have ever had!
I had read that there wasn't really a beach in front of the property, which is true. The water comes right up to the property wall/infinity pool wall. BUT the beach in front of RIU right next door was beautiful and it's public so anyone can use it. We did and even used some of the RIU lounge chairs with no problems or fees. The beach on the other side of the hotel zone was much rougher with bigger waves. I was glad we were on the side with calm waves.
We would stay here again and recommend it highly :-)
