Private Barrier Beach Access by boat or 1 mile drive to public beach. The waves at Green Hill are mild but rideable and there's rocks to find starfish and crabs in providing hours of fun for your children. Our road is quiet/private, lined with several small cottages of almost all owner residents. Green Hill Park is just a short walk away, featuring tennis, basketball hoops and a playground with swings and slides and things to climb on. Our beach home is nestled in the Green Hill community with narrow streets and little traffic, perfect for walks with little ones. Within close proximity to Trustom Park with nature trails and bird watching and Theater By the Sea.
Take long (or short) walks. Ride your bikes and enjoy the view from so many different spots in the neighborhood. We live in an exclusive area of the Rhode Island shore. We also live a couple of miles from Shelter Cove Marina in Charlestown where you can rent a kayak and enjoy fried clams or scallops at the famed Johnny's Angel's clam shack. Ocean House Marina is just 3 miles away where you can rent a small motor boat, take a sunset cruise, buy bait and tackle. Breachway Bait & Tackle is just 2 miles away on Charlestown Beach Road. Lavins Landing Marina is also close by. All marina's have boat launching areas and also at the Charlestown Breachway. There are about 5 ice cream spots, a general store and two large supermarkets, The Cove restaurant and The Breachway Grill, all within a close proximity.
From your own private dock you can fish and catch blue shell crabs, which are great eating! Charlestown Breachway and the surrounding waters are famous for fishing. Catch your own dinner! Swimming in the channels is also great fun. A good place to anchor and just spend the day fishing and swimming.
Area Attractions include Newport and Watch Hill: Green Hill is a small beach community that sits between Matunuck and Charlestown. Within 10 minutes are excellent restaurants, beaches, and family fun spots. Westerly and Misquamicut, RI are just 15 minutes away, where you can find movies, water slides and more. Narragansett offers mini golf, the Block Island ferry and great Clam Cakes at George's and Champlin's of Galilee. We are local to the famed Newport, RI ('the Gold Coast'), Watch Hill and it's famous Carousel, and Jamestown, a quintessential East Coast boating town. We are also approximately 30 minutes away from Foxwoods & Mohegan Sun Casino's in Connecticut or Twin River Casino in northern Rhode Island.
