I grew up in the town of Sonoma and made Kenwood my home in 2004. I love living in the wine country and have a fondness for the little town of Kenwood. I lived in the Cottage on Clyde for 4 years with my wheaten terrier mix. When I married and had a family, my husband and I decided to move because we outgrew the cottage. We decided to keep the place because there is so much charm to it and it was hard for us to give it up. This 70+ year old cottage has a uniqueness and charm to it that I hope you will find it appealing too.

This was our home first.
Ideal for two couples, a family, or just a small group of close friends, this vacation rental is within walking distance of several premiere wineries/tasting rooms and restaurants and just miles from world renowned spas, golf courses and hiking trails. The town of Sonoma and city of Santa Rosa are only 15 minutes away.
I brought my best friend to down to wine country for her 30th birthday. We've been to Napa, so we decided to try Sonoma county. We fell in love! The country is beautiful with all the rolling vineyards and this amazing little place was in the middle of it! Even it being peak season, it was so quiet. I could take a morning stroll, meditate in the back yard (I even had a little hummingbird come up very close to my face and say hello), we bbq'd, sat in the sun room and laughed (which was our favorite place), went wine tasting of course (Sonoma has the most amazing zinfandels). It was such a fantastic few days. I will definitely be booking the place again!
What a great find! From the moment we walked in it felt like home. If I could move this house to Texas I would. I agree with all the other reviews, it's a peaceful place to just sit and relax, both in the sunroom and back patio. Plenty of room and necessary supplies. We only stayed five days but would love to rent for a month next year. Thanks for sharing your home.
We had driven by this cottage last year and loved its Kenwood neighborhood. Now that we have vacationed at the cottage for 3 wonderful weeks, we are more in love with the cottage itself. We agree with everyone who writes that the photos do not truly show how spacious the cottage is. We spent most of our time in the sun room which is connected to the kitchen and where 2 people can eat looking out to the completely private gardens. We grilled and ate on the patio too. Our granddaughter visited and played outside while we and her parents watched from inside. She also biked around the quiet streets nearby. We walked to dinner at Café Citti and to tasting rooms. It was sometimes a challenge to think of a reason to leave our neighborhood. Very relaxing.
Perfect spot in the wine country. Our dog Lilly loved the backyard. The sun room is so bright & cheerful, nice spot for a glass of wine in the evening. Living room was great for movie watching. Both bedrooms & bathrooms are large & comfortable. Kenwood is a sweet town, the home is walking distance to Cafe Citti, the Mayo tasting room & a nice new yoga studio. Don't miss a hike at Jack London park, our favorite hiking spot. Girl & the fig, our favorite restaurant a short drive to Glenn Ellen. The house was perfect for us :-)
We loved this cozy little house, which was perfect for 2 couples and met/exceeded all of our expectations. Lot's of space, clean and with a comfortable back patio for a glass (or two) of wine after a stressful day wine tasting :-) . The location is centrally located between several of the major wine regions - so you're never far from anything.
The road up to Sugarloaf Ridge State Park is awesome for running if you are into that - you can run right from the house. The BBQ works great. My favorite part was the cute little gate into a back area of the yard. The owners were very helpful in answering questions as well. We hope to come back some day.
This lovely and comfortable home is centrally located and an easy drive to anywhere in Sonoma, Napa or even the coast. It is quiet and private and yet only a block from Route 12. It is an easy walk to a market, a few restaurants and several wine tasting venues. We spent 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Breakfast in the sun room before a day of exploring was a delight.
