Wow.
That is it in a nutshell. But to elaborate: my younger sister found this place via internet. We were somewhat skeptical that it was as promised but ended up taking all three houses. We were not disappointed! With 55 people in attendance, we had plenty of space indoors and out. The kids were thrilled with the pond, river, and gameroom. The multiple porches, gazebos, docks. and beautifully landscaped yards were perfect for ever shifting groups.
The houses were very clean, superbly well stocked and comfortable with great little touches of "home" everywhere, plus the extras, like horseshoes, bocce, grilling sticks and sidewalk chalk.
The cottage was perfect for two of us - three adults would have been a stretch for more than a few days but we didn't spend much time there anyway. The gameroom was huge and well appointed for fun - loved the pinball machine, which didn't get much rest! The Big House was truly big - with a large, empty back room, we were able to set up all the food indoors but leave the kitchen clear for table and bar eating space - we were barely bumping into each other, which for our clan, was quite a novelty.
It wasn't cheap, but neither was it as expensive as it could have been. Our assessment was that it was a great value. Rustric Retreat will definitely be our first place of choice when visiting the area. In fact, I probably wouldn't have bothered with the review if I weren't so in love with this property.
