About Tim Reilly

I'm semi retired. My wife and I moved to Colorado from Iowa around 10 years ago. We had a chocolate business there which we sold and moved to Evergreen. I like to play tennis, ski, and a few other sports.

We love the mountains and have made many friends along the way. Our rental house in Georgetown is a beautiful well equipped house with awesome views and plenty of wild life in the area. You can hike right out the front door or ski 12 minutes away at Loveland.

We also love to travel, some of our favorite places are in northern Italy and all of Switzerland. We recently got back from a two week trip to Kenya. My wife has also done many worldwide trips with Habitat for Humanity. Our motto is travel lite and travel often. Tim

Why Tim Reilly chose Georgetown

I chose this property because it was a newer house with great mountain views with lots of wildlife. It has easy freeway access to 7 major ski areas, good in town restaurants, but you can still get to Denver in less than 45 minutes.

What makes this house unique

Almost every day you'll see deer on the property. Many times you will also see mountain rams near by. It's a newer property with newer amenities.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Our experience at the house in Georgetown was awesome! The place was better than we could've imagined! Our host Tim was great at getting us information about things to do in and around town. We had a blast!

Very nice house with amazing views

  • 5 of 5
We drove all the way from Pennsylvania for a reunion with my sons and their families. This place was perfect. It was very well stocked with things you don't expect in a rental. The house was beautiful with beautiful views of the mountains. It looks as good as the pictures. We enjoyed the Georgetown Loop Railroad, the Denver Zoo, fishing in the lake and even went to a water park in Denver ( the kids really liked that). Thanks to Tim the owner who was very helpful and very easy to deal with.

Exceptional Vacation Home!!

  • 5 of 5
The house is better than the description. We stayed here for two weeks and our family of 8 was very sorry to have to leave. The house design provides for wonderful views of the mountains, the interior layout is great for families and the home décor is warm and inviting. Overall the accommodations were just wonderful! The teenagers in our family enjoyed the sense of seclusion in the mountains and proximity to hiking trails while the adults enjoyed the spacious living area to unwind from the day and share family time. The nicely furnished large kitchen and dining room was also well used for family get-togethers and planning activities. We definitely will stay here again on our next Colorado vacation and can highly recommend it for you.

Perfect Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5
What a fantastic place to stay! The views are great and the house is very comfortable. Tim was so helpful in sending information about the area prior to our trip and making sure we had plenty of the necessities when we arrived. He even answered the phone with a smile late in the evening when we were having difficulty locating the house after dark the first night. It was everything we had hoped for at a great price and there was more than enough room for the 5 of us. Thank you Tim!

Owner's Response: Hello all, thank you for the nice review....... you left the house in such good shape, it hardly looked like you stayed there. It is a little hard to find at night the first time, since there aren't any street lights to get your bearings, but that adds to why it has such good views! Thanks again, and please come back. Tim

Breath taking

  • 5 of 5
Tim,
Thank you very much for the incredible stay. This was exactly as outlined from the minute we arrived. The personal welcome note with the can of pecans was very personable. We did hiking, skiing, snowmobiling and gamble in little Vegas:) we visited the little historic shops in downtown Georgetown. The entire 7 days was incredible. When we had to leave the house and the area we were saddened and will defiantly be back to this rental property again. Thanks again for the incredible vacation.

Owner's Response: Hello Laurie, I'm glad you and your husband had a great time relaxing in Georgetown for his birthday. Thanks for the nice review. I talked to the people at the Alpine R. and thanked them, and they acted like it was just a everyday deal finding and returning the bracelet. It's nice to have people that take it as the norm to be truly honest and friendly. Also thanks for keeping the house in great shape. Come back again. Thanks. Tim

Cozy, plenty of room, just like home!

  • 5 of 5
We had an awesome time at this house. Myself, husband, 4 kids (7,14,16,18) and Grandma all loved the house. There was plenty of room for everyone to have a little privacy if they wanted and it was big enough for us to all hang out together and watch the football playoffs! We stocked up on groceries at the Safeway in Idaho Springs and were able to cook great meals, just like being at home. We made use of everything there- washer, dryer, jacuzzi bathtub and even the blow up mattress, which by the way was very comfortable!

We skied at Loveland which was only a 15 minute drive away and rode the Georgetown train. We also drove to Frisco and went tubing with the kids. We had lots of snow while we were there and it just made the scenery that much more beautiful!

I would definitely recommend this house if you have kids or a large group because you will feel like you are home as soon as you walk in. Tim (the owner) was great, just like the reviews say. He left us some good chocolates- thank you! This is a trip that our family will always remember.

Owner's Response: Hello Amelia, thank you for the nice review. It was great to have you and your family. You left the house in tip top shape. It was good to see you did some tubing with the kids in Frisco that is a new activity I wasn't aware of. Thanks again and come back again. Tim

Winter Getaway

  • 5 of 5
We just got home from this beautiful home and no one wanted to leave! It was myself, my husband and our 3 kids (11,8,3). Every single one of us enjoyed it. The home is beautiful, well stocked and amazing views. Snacks were left out as well as drinks and a few staples to get us to the next day before going to the grocery. The location is very quiet and away from town but it takes less than 5 minutes to get to the heart of Georgetown.

We went to the Christmas market and the loop train which the kids loved. The next day (today) we went skiing at Loveland ski area which is just a short (15min) drive away. Tim the owner is great. He sent us so much information to help with our visit. He also answered our call at close to midnight when we got lost on our way to the home and talked us through finding our way.

We plan to spend a lot more time in this home. Hopefully for the summer but definitely next winter. We live 2 hours away and this was perfect!

Owner's Response: Well thank you for the nice review, that was very nice of you. I'm glad you squeezed so much into the short time you we're there. Skiing, Christmas Market, train ride , you must of been on the go the whole time. Hope you do come back again soon, summers are beautiful there, and there is great hiking right from the house. You might even want to do some fishing at the lake with the kids. Thanks again. Tim
