Situated on the Clark Fork river the Riverhouse is a fully equipped home for your vacation fun. All the amenities needed to fully relax and enjoy the beauty of Montana. Each of the bedrooms has a queen size bed. A bunk room that has two double beds. Private and secluded down a private road that leads right to the river. Fishing right out the door. Deer, moose, eagles, bear, river otter, beavers as your backyard friends. Guided float trips can be arranged with one of several local outfitters.

A perfect spot to get together for that yearly family vacation. A great spot to bring friends together to catch up and spend time getting away from it all. Five manicured acres and over 600 feet of riverfront with a fire pit to build your campfires. During the winter enjoy pristine cross country skiing or snowshoeing right out the backdoor.

Sit out on the deck enjoying Montana's long beautiful summer evenings. Stay warm around the gas fire pit and listen to the music of the owls while counting the millions of stars that light the night sky.

The beautiful city of Missoula is just 7 miles away. Don't miss the famous Saturday Farmers Market where the whole city turns out to enjoy the fresh flowers, produce, street music, and hand made items too numerous to mention. Missoula has a number of excellent restaurants to enjoy, or just plan on staying in and barbequing on the back deck with the gas or charcoal grill provided.

Canyon River Golf Course, less than five minutes from the house, was rated in the top five US new public courses in 2007. Five mile walking trail right down the drive.

Totally home away from home!

We stayed 10 nights at Marta and Todd's Clark Fork Riverhouse and had a great time. This property is very well maintained and has ALL the things necessary to make your stay comfortable and fun. While the weather was lacking in the warmth and sunshine elements... we still were able to use and appreciate the deck and great grill set up. The kitchen is set up very complete for any "foodie" to feel at home. A few fish were caught in the river despite the winter runoff water conditiions. The photos listed are accurate as is the description. The owners live in the adjoining property and were responsive to the question or two we had - but not at all intrusive. Appreciated being able to bring two dogs along. Deposit was returned promptly.
All in all - this trip felt very much like being invited to stay in someone's "home", rather than in a vacation rental... there is a difference and this is it! We plan to be back and would recommend without hesitation. Thanks!

Beautiful Location

My wife secured this location for her friends/family who were coming to Montana for a wedding. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the house and all the amenities. However, during their stay, Todd, the husband and owner of the property showed up to check on things. He informed the guests that someone had driven over some newly seeded ground. This was new news to all of us since no one told any of us that grass had been planted. As a result of this, the $300 deposit was late in getting back to us. It also cast a dark shadow over the stay of our guests, who by no fault of their own, felt bad for getting reprimanded by Todd. Other than this incident, a good time was had by all.

Owner's Response: The newly seeded ground was our front yard. No one was reprimaned, they were simply asked not to drive on the lawn. Our rental agreement clearly states that parking or driving is not permitted on the lawn. The deposit was refunded in full.

Best kept secret in Missoula

Came with 9 other family members to celebrate my sons graduation from UM. The river house more than exceeded our expectations. Clean, comfortable, a 10 minute drive to town....,and did I mention serene and beautiful? We enjoyed a couple of bonfires and horseshoes down by the river, lovely cocktails on the deck with a fire pit, deer and beautiful views. Couldn't have asked for more. You won't be disappointed. We would definitely return.

Tranquility in Paradise

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the River House in August. The house is clean, spacious, and well equipped. Todd and Marta are superb hosts who make sure that your stay is trouble free. They are very knowledgeable about the area and were able to recommend several good restaurants in town. Having the river right on the property delighted my fly fishing husband and it provided me with a tranquil spot to catch up on my reading and watch the wildlife including a golden eagle, several osprey, bald eagles, and a doe and her fawn which wandered through the property every morning. If you want a peaceful, away from it all vacation, with the added attraction of Missoula a mere 15 minutes away, this is the place to rent. We can’t wait to return and bring the adult kids with us.

After looking all over Missoula, and surrounding areas for a beautiful setting for our wedding, we finally came across this listing. It was perfect!! There were so many different locations on the property to have a ceremony. It was hard to choose which one was right for us. After much thought, we decided to decorate one of the foot bridges leading out to the river. It was so nice to be able to have the ceremony and reception at the same location! We absolutely loved it. And there was plenty of room for everything!

The owners were great to work with. Capcakes were left for our enjoyment, made with our wedding colors! They called us a couple of times to make sure everything was working out the way we wanted it to. They even came out and got our excess garbage that wouldn't fit into the area provided.

I recommend this house to everyone who loves nature. Anyone who loves to fish, float the river, or just hang out and enjoy all the wildlife. We sat out on the back deck every night and enjoyed the propane fire pit, and roasted marshmellows. The stars were so bright at night, so peaceful, and wonderful.

Thank you for making our wedding day perfect. We love your house, and will recommend your property to anyone who asks, "Where's a good place to stay in Missoula when we come?"

Thanks again, we couldn't have been happier with our choice!
