Spacious home located on 10 private acres of wooded wilderness. Great open floor plan suitable for large groups and family gatherings. Kid-friendly; game room and sleeping on separate level. Lodge decor: log beds and duvets. 2 master suites. Plenty of parking. Dining table seats 10 very comfortably. Views of Magic Mountain from the great room and kitchen in Winter. Lots of windows to enjoy the wilderness from inside as well as plenty of terrain to snowshoe, hike, play paintball or bird watch. Relaxing place to escape, you won't want to leave this comfortable home.

summer fun: This wonderful home is in the perfect location for escaping all civilization..yet it is so easy to get to places of interest. 20 minutes to Manchester; 15 minutes to Bromely or Stratton Mountains; 20 mintues to Weston and 30 minutes to Ludlow (Okemo Mountain). There is so much wilderness around, hiking and birdwatching; lakes for swimming, boating and fishing all within a mile. Bikeriding is a paradise in this area..scenic views everywhere. Streams allow for splashing fun and cooling ..

winter fun: There is so much to do here in winter. From hanging around the great room sitting by a fire, to sledding outside on the property. So close to Magic Mountain- you can see it from the house..within 30 minutes you can be skiing down Bromley or Stratton's slopes. There's plenty of cross country trails nearby as well as snowshoeing, which can be done on the property..

culture: This part of Vermont is full of culture, there are always festivals and art shows, and plays (weston playhouse)..the famous Vermont Country Store is minutes away. Farmers markets in the summer showcase the local merchants and artists. There are quilt shops and potters all around the area.

the property is located off of Thompsonburg Road in South Londonderry. The closest shopping center is in the village of Londonderry, a short 5 minute or so drive. There are restaurants and post office, bank and hardware store, etc..all within a 5-7 minute drive. Manchester is 20 minutes away and Weston is about 15 minutes..from late spring to mid-autumn, the saturday farmer's market is a must-do..right in town.

Other Activities: snowboarding, wildlife viewing, mini golf, shopping, kayaking, snowmobiling, skiing- both nordic and downhill, snow shoeing, trekking, canoeing,

Golf: There are several golf courses in the area. Stratton mountain has its own golf school for people of all ages.

Ski: stratton, bromley, magic and okemo

All are within 30 minutes. Magic is 5 minutes (max), bromley and stratton are 15 minutes and okemo is 30 minutes fro. The property.

Stayed 3 nights ,8 guys over 45 & 2 of us over 60. Lots of room for all of us. The beds are great & the layout is perfect , kitchen & family room are large with room for all.
Pictures on web site do not do this place justice.
Recommended for old guys , can't go wrong.

We had a great weekend at this house. Worked very well for 2 families and little kids, lots of toys and things to do inside + a great yard for playing in the snow. Close to a few different mountains and the owners were very responsive, helpful and interested that we have a good time.
