Very spacious two bedroom condo/town home with all the amenities of a luxury home.
There are two bedrooms and a loft with a twin bed for additional sleeping area.
There is one parking space in the two car garage.
Master bedroom has a soaking tub/shower in the bathroom dressing area and a walk-in closet.
Guest bedroom has its own bathroom with a shower/tub.
The large kitchen is complete with all the amenities of home.
In the living room is a flat screen TV with a surround sound entertainment system and a DVD player.
There is a laundry area.
This home is walking distance from restaurants, shopping and entertainment.
Balboa Park is walking distance and the San Diego Zoo is less than a mile away, it could be walked to.
A short drive up 4th avenue to the Gas Lamp District and the downtown area.
The Beaches are within a 15 minute drive and Cornado Island is the same with its beautiful beaches.
Sea World is about a 20 minute drive.
I am 47 year old business owner in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I own rental property in Minneapolis and have decided to start renting this home based on my experience in this area. I am not using it as often as I intended and have made a decision to rent this home offset the cost.
The Owner purchased this townhome in 2005
Location would be the main reason for choosing this area. It is centrally located and walking distance from basic things.
The location is a great benefit to this home. Walking distance from restaurants, shopping and entertainment. The San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park being walking distance away with all it has to offer with its museums and all it offers alone. In addition to all the other activities nearby.
The townhouse was amazing. The decor was beautiful, beds were more comfy than most hotels offer and location was perfect just south of Hillcrest. You can walk to Balboa Park (amount a mile away). If you have a car there is a garage to park it, but no car is really needed since the bus stop is steps away. Learning the bus system takes a bit of research, but is an easy way to get around San Diego. Restaurants are steps away, grocery and drug store within a mile, so the location was ideal. The owner was very easy to deal with and our stay could not have been more perfect. It was a pleasure to come "home" each night after great days of site-seeing. The photos don't do it justice. We've done vacation rental before in other cities and this unit is at the top on the list.
The stay here with my family was great!! My wife, son and I enjoyed the amenities and the location. Easy access to the freeways, downtown, and Balboa park. The manager was awesome!! Such a nice guy. The owner took care of everything inside the house. Nothing was lacking. The best part was being able to drive the rental into the garage. No need to look for parking. We rented a Nissan Versa and the car fit ok in the garage. Any other small car fits just fine as well. It was a clean neighborhood and we felt safe and secure the whole week we were there. You will definitely love this place.
I look forward to next year when we come back out to San Diego. No more staying at dungy hotels for me. This is my new spot!!
I must admit as a first time renter of this property I was a little skeptical of what the home would actually be like (as I would have with any) but I was more than pleasantly surprised!! The home is exactly how the pictures show; very clean, comfortable and beautiful. We loved the location. So close to so much and walking distance to some very good eateries. Completely stocked with everything! Even included beach towels and beach chairs.. We had great communication with the owner and the manager of the property is AMAZING!! Great customer service. We would highly recommend this property to anyone. We stayed with our 3 children and it was comfortable for everyone. We hope to return next year!!!! Thank you
Three of us stayed here for a week at Thanksgiving and found the Condo to be rigged well enough to host an 8 person Thanksgiving Feast! Very comfortable and clean. Spacious rooms and closets. Great garage and in a really terrific walking neighborhood that always felt safe and welcoming. Comfortable patio too! We will make this our "San Diego" get away for future trips. The owner was courteous and thorough and also returned our security deposit post haste! We all highly recommend this VRBO, which is kind of like a double edged sword---we want to keep this treasure a secret (selfishly) but also want to see others enjoy a stay here, as well.
I can speak highly enough regarding my experience and stay. The pictures don't do it justice very spacious; CLEAN, tastefully decorated, centrally located to just about everything. Which was great for walking or a quick drive to stores parks etc. Everything we needed was there and CLEAN. Mike (Owner) was very fast and helpful with answering questions. I not only recommend this place to others but cant wait to stay here again =). Another thing I'd like to point out is that he is very reasonable with deposits and fees, I almost considered not using VRBO due to so many people charging over the top cleaning, deposit, TAX and even credit card and Google check out fees. I choose VROB to save money, other wise would stay in a nice hotel. We stayed for a week and didn't want to leave.
Due to a last minute change of plans, my fiancee and I found this rental and boy are we glad that we did! We loved the location which put us near pretty much everything (Gaslamp Quarters, Balboa Park, Downtown, Petco Park). It's simply decorated but it's fully stocked for a weekend getaway. We loved that it had all the accommodations of a full home. Also, the owner Michael, was so great to deal with. He made it very easy and straight forward for us first timer renters. We definitely look forward to coming back to San Diego and staying here again!
P.S. We did not have a problem with the security deposit at all!
