New Years Beach Stay

We stayed at this house 12/26/20012 and departed on Jan 1st with our 3 children, ages 4, 13 and 17.
My initial review is that its a nice house. The only real issues we had were 3 things. First, you have a lovely pink large 2 story duplex on stilts that blocks much of your ocean front view...that you really cant see in the pictures provided. I believe its been newly painted pink, otherwise its the gray house you almost dont see in the pics...but you sure can when you open the curtains or sit on the large front porch, which is a great front porch and loved the swing! SO, your ocean front view is severely limited. Second, while its great to have bathrooms in each bedroom, with the one bedroom downstaris, there is No common share bathroom. SO unless you want to go up and down stairs, you have to go through the lone bedroom downstaris to get to this bathroom.
I would also suggest that the gates leading to the pool and beach be far more secure. They do not lock and could be easy accessed by anyone outside the home. At anytime! It could be a liability if a child or animal or anyone happened to wander into the pool and get hurt or die due to gates not being secure or lockable. Also for other safety reasons, such as burglary and the like. And the boards need smoothing from nails and wood splintering. We didnt use the pool but it looks as if it needs resurfacing. I was concerned it had no cover as well, having a small child.
The furniture is older and could use some updating, but the decore is still nice. We dont stay inside much, even in the winter so it wasnt that big of a deal. It was very clean and thats always a plus! The windows and blinds need to be redone...we couldnt open the windows in the upstairs bedroom. We were able to use the tub to bathe our daughter so that wasnt an issue. The pool table as addressed in other reviews is old but still usable and fun. Parking was ample, the charcole grill looked in bad shape if you wanted to use that.
The real question I suppose is would we stay again? Probably so, but likely during the winter. I think the summer rates are a bit high. We enjoyed our stay none the less.
