Cala Pelicanos, the pictures tell the story, is a concrete house, downstairs are the hall, dining room, sitting room, fully equipped luxury kitchen, guest toilet, as well as a separate washing kitchen (utilities room).

Outside you have a separate dining area, terrace, access to the tropical gardens and the beach, as well as a plunge pool. Upstairs are is the study/library area with a computer + internet access and 3 large air-conditioned bedrooms with king-size beds, each with a balcony and a luxury bathroom. The master suite has a bath as well as a large separate shower.

In the tower is a viewing point, overlooking the beautiful Caribbean sea.

About The Owner

We are Boudewijn & Yvonne Heilijgers, both in our 50's, both born in the Netherlands. We first came to Roatan in 2000, and decided to make this our home for a part of the year. We presently work and live in the Middle East.

Why The Owner chose Roatan

After sailing around the Caribbean for many years, we discovered the beautiful, unspoiled Bay Islands, and fell in love with Roatan. We love the people and the relaxed atmosphere as well as the unique nature of the island, on land as well as in the water. For us Roatan still offers some of the old fashioned Caribbean charm, no high rises, no big hotels, but lush tropical nature, and beautiful blue waters. If you want a quiet romantic comfortable holiday, a diving holiday with many new sites everyday, or a nice meal and a choice a beach bars in the evening, this is your place.

What makes this house unique

It is a great location for all water sports but especially for snorkeling/diving & fishing or kayaking, but of course you can also lounge in your hammock under the palappa, overlooking the sea, relaxing with a tropical drink and a good book. The house offers all modern comforts in combination with tropical charm, and is decorated with unique art and antiques.

An ideal location for a luxury tropical holiday, 15 min by car or taxi to airport, 10 min to busy West End with all bars and restaurants. Ideal for divers or a romantic quiet getaway.
