Highly Recommended!

First time here and looking forward to going back next year. The apartment was very clean, quiet wooded setting, attached to owner home but still very private and close to town. Denise and Andy are great hosts and very knowledgeable with area attractions and restaurants. If you've never visited Camden before you are in for a treat the shops, restaurants and harbor are fantastic.
Owner's Response: Deb and Cliff, along with friends John and Pam, were an absolute pleasure to host. Amiable and genial, we enjoyed getting to know them during our conversations on the back deck; easy-going, we appreciated any opportunity they allowed us to be "hands on," which wasn't often enough as they arrived well-prepared for their week's stay!

We look forward to welcoming this lovely group of folks back to Ferncliff Drive next year :)

The place was very clean, wooded, great shape and the hosts were fantastic. They couldn't do anything more for us. We really enjoyed our time there!!!
Owner's Response: Great guests make it easy to be good hosts! We strive not only to meet guest expectations, but to exceed them. When we can do that, we consider that our best success. And we thank our guests for the opportunity to do that. Hope we can continue to do it in the future.

Great place, even better hosts!

The accommodations were clean, warm and inviting. Denise and Andy are the consummate hosts! Gracious and warm are understatements. We truly felt like honored guests. Every time we mentioned interest in an activity, if Denise didn't have the answer immediately, she would research it and provide them in short order. Upon arrival, Denise provided us with a detailed weather report for the week, wonderful warm blueberry muffins, and a fridge filled with necessities. Mid-week, Denise cleaned and refreshed the linens and towels, and Andy left us with a bowl of hand picked raspberries from their property. Denise and Andy will do everything to make your experience a gem.

We just enjoyed our 2nd visit to this wonderful retreat. We especially love the convenient and quiet location. I was able to work while sitting out on the beautiful deck enjoying the scenery. We even cooked steaks over the firepit one night. The free wi-fi was a HUGE plus. The apartment was impeccably clean & Andy and Denise are such gracious hosts. They are incredibly knowledgeable about the local attractions. If you are coming to Camden- this is hands down the place to stay (incredible rates- compare and you will agree).

A Great Place to Stay with the Nicest Hosts!

Submitted: January 13, 2011 Stayed: January 2011
We have stayed here multiple times over the years while we were waiting to catch the ferry to North Haven or do activities in the Camden area. The Moores are incredible hosts. Once our car broke down and they helped us get it to the service station. Another time, our son was sick and they found us a good local pediatrician. They both really know the area, including the best restaurants and most fun things to do. The accommodations are attached to their own home but feel completely private. It's in a pretty wooded area but right next to Main Street Camden, which is not far from ferry terminals. It's also a great stopping place on the drive up to places like Acadia National Park. The rooms are immaculate with a full kitchen, and access to a pretty porch to sit out on and admire the wooded setting. We've stayed there when we had no children and when we had 3 children and each and every time all our needs were met. We are picky New Yorkers, but can highly recommend this rental. The most appealing part of our stay each year is the Moores themselves. They are such nice people and it's so much better than staying in a local hotel (too institutional) or even a B & B (too precious for us & often not as private).
