Very satisfied with our recent 1 week stay at the Little Green House. Correspondence with the property managers was efficient and effective. The house is clean and comfortable, and an easy walk to the downtown area including the grocery and drug stores - pictures and description here are accurate. Being towards the southern end of the town, it is also an easy, short drive to the loop drive in Acadia NP. We did hear amplified music from the church next door on Sunday and one weekday (even with windows and storm windows closed) for about an hour, but it wasn't unbearable. The kitchen had a toaster and a decent coffee maker, and a small assortment of essentials like olive oil, salt and pepper, baking powder, a few spices. Good collection of plates, glasses, and cutlery. A little short on cookware, in my opinion. The non-stick skillet had seen better days and most of the pots and pans (other than the lobster pot) are rather small. If you're cooking for 6 plan on batches. Plenty of sheets, pillows, towels, etc. of pretty good quality. Having the laundry in the house was a bonus, since we packed light and were out hiking every day. Nice to be able to do a load of wash in the middle of the week. We didn't use the flat screen TV at all, but I did jack my iTunes into the stereo, which was a nice and unexpected feature. With the programmable thermostats the house was comfortable and warm even though it was only in the high 30's to 40's at night. We had a couple of nighttime storms and didn't feel any drafts, which surprised us given the apparent age of the original cottage. Quality work was done on the renovation(s). If we go back to MDI we might stay in a different town for a change, but wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property for someone looking to stay near downtown Bar Harbor.
