Family Trip
Lovely place to stay. We had all our children and grandchildren with us (8 adults and 4 little ones) and there was plenty of room. Our grandchildren loved the basement with all the toys and play space--they are 3 and under-- it was their favorite thing to do. The location was great! Everything we chose to do was close by. If it had not been so cold and windy, we could have walked to some attractions. From this location we saw many Amish buggies pass by. Also could see the farmers plowing the fields with their horse teams. A few mornings we saw hot air balloons. One evening from the kitchen, we watched a hot air balloon land behind a distant barn--the little ones were so excited. The owner answered all our questions prior to our arrival. The Shady Maple Smorgasbord Restaurant was one of the best buffets we have ever been to. Another favorite was The Family Cupboard in Lititz--excellent food and very friendly staff. We went to Hershey one day, to Lititz for the Sturgis Pretzel Factory and Wilbur's Chocolate Factory, to several attractions in Intercourse, and for a family buggy ride across from Sight and Sound. If possible, we would choose this property for another trip. Highly recommend it.
