Jake and Becky and their nine children live about half an hour away from this house. We built our cape-cod home in 1990 and lived their until the fall of 2009 when we moved to Honey Brook for mission purposes. Our home is built on an acre of the family farm. The farm, still in the family, is owned by Jake's youngest brother and borders the back of the yard. Jake's parents live next door and maintain a lot of the home and it's grounds. Our favorite part of this home is the safe and peaceful neighborhood surrounded by Amish homes and farmland.
What a wonderful vacation we had at your guest house! Thanks so much for sharing it with our family of #11 plus one on the way. The house and yard were fully adequate. We enjoyed the tether ball, butterfly garden, sandbox, campfire, and climbing tree in the backyard. Couples enjoyed the swing on the front porch. This location is great! I hope to return.
God really blessed us through you and your family. One of our families went to the "Joseph" show. I have seen it twice. Steve has seen it once.
May God continue to wonderfully bless you and your family,
We enjoyed the use of this home for a place to gather with our out-of-state family visiting. The basement room was perfect for opening gifts. The house was good for our family size, and we enjoyed seeing the amish community go by.
We love this home! This was our second Thanksgiving reunion here. The house is extremely welcoming, clean and cozy. It is generously stocked with all supplies needed. The inviting front porch was a peaceful spot for morning coffee. Watching the Horse and Buggies go by was a relaxing way to start the day. This home is perfect for both adults and children alike. There's plenty of room for everyone.
Our family gathers in the Lancaster area every November for a "pre-holiday reunion" and this was the first time we stayed in the Harvest Drive Guest House. The location is excellent; close to all attractions yet surrounded by farmland in a peaceful setting. How relaxing it was to awaken one morning to a light dusting of snow and have coffee while watching the cows in the field! Life as it should be! More than enough room to meet the needs of our group and while we had no young children in out party, the lower level playroom and backyard offer lots to entertain youngsters so it's a plus for families. Hope to return next year!
This is a lovely home in a truly picturesque setting. Rural - yet 10 minutes away from everything you might need! The house can accommodate a lot of folks, and has lots of great stuff for kids. Highly recommend!
This was our second stay at Harvest Dr. Guest House and once again, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is clean and comfortable, and we noticed some additional improvements that had been made since our last stay such as additional sleeping space in the basement and an easy exit if needed. It is in a scenic area and close to the areas we choose to visit while vacationing there. The horse and buggies passing by is always a plus for us. We had a great time.
