UP-TO-DATE FURNISHINGS IN A 1920S HOUSE.

Boston Apartment Rental Photos and Description

3 bdrms, 1 bath, sleeps 8, living rm w/ gas fireplace, ding rm, full kit, porch

Enter the front door and you're in your home away from home. It's spacious but comforting.

Bedrooms are decked out with comfy linens. Back porch looks at the garden. Eat in the kitchen or the dining room. On chilly evenings have a fire with the click of a switch.

Jamaica Plain (JP) is a neighborhood within the city of Boston. The house has easy access to the T (our public transit system) — a 15 minute ride to downtown. JP has the feel of a small town but it's definitely part of Boston's urban life. The house is just one block from Jamaica Pond (a 1.5 miles loop around the pond) which is great for walking or running in all seasons — biking, picnics or renting a sailboat in the warmer months.

Just 2 streets away is a new Whole Foods Market. Walk less than 10 minutes and you're in JP center with an array of ethnic restaurants, cafes, pubs and retail stores. This home is a great space in a great neighborhood in a great city - all set up for a great vacation

GREAT PLACE TO STAY

  • 4 of 5
A great place to base for a Boston holiday. There's lots of space for a family and a lovely back porch and garden. Bus to Copley Square is a few minutes away. A really helpful owner and we would definitely recommend to others.

EXCELLENT STAY IN A LOVELY 'HOME FROM HOME'

Excellent stay in a lovely 'Home from Home'
  • 5 of 5
After a great family trip to boston I would have no hesitation in recommending this house to anyone looking for a great base to tour the Boston area. It had everything we were looking for, and more. Elaine has thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. As she lives upstairs she is on hand if any issues were to arise. We would love to return in the future.

GREAT ACCOMMODATION...

  • 4 of 5
We were very pleased with our stay in Boston. The house was very clean and provided all our needs. Elaine was very responsive to all our questions. Having a walk in the Jamaica pond was lovely. Shortly we were very satisfied and would live to stay again if we were to visit Boston once more. Thank you Elaine...

CAN'T BE BEAT!

Can't be beat!

This home in Jamaica Plain is terrific!! Lovely place with hardwood floors, gorgeous built-ins, comfy beds. cozy decorating. Yes, there's one bathroom, but the seven of us managed just fine (cooperation is a good thing ;) We were here for my son's graduation from college and my daughter's wedding, which we held in the beautiful backyard of this great house. Very special.
Jamaica Plain is a lovely place, diverse, welcoming, quirky, and easy to get to on the easy-to-use T (Boston subway). The owner, Elaine, was really helpful in helping us get around and find fun things to do.
I really can't recommend this rental enough!

Owner's Response: These folks had a family gathering for 2 big family events - that's so really special. And they loved the city of Boston -- they got themselves around to so many places - even a day trip to the Cape! And they're so right about Jamaica Plain when they describe this neighborhood within the city as "diverse, welcoming, quirky". They got to attend our annual Wake Up the Earth parade and festival and that about describes it all! I hope they come back for more!

BEST PLACE TO STAY IN BOSTON!

  • 5 of 5
It is like walking into home but so much better. The house is beautiful and with so many perfected touches that make all the difference in the world. The location is perfect. Walks to the park, shopping and restaurants are within a block or two. Even Sam Adams brewery is just a short walk away. This was our second stay and we will be back again and again.

Owner's Response: Jamaica Plain has a lot to offer visitors and I'm always so glad when visitors have the chance to enjoy it. It's definitely part of the city of Boston but in so many ways feels like a small town.

Car: not necessary

Jamaica Plain is a neighborhood within the city of Boston that provides a small town feel within the urban lifestyle. JP, as locals call it, is just minutes from downtown Boston by public transportation. It's a unique community, almost completely surrounded by parks, including the Emerald Necklace (designed by Frederick Law Olmsted of Central Park fame) the Arnold Arboretum, Franklin Park Zoo and a protected Urban Wild area. The center of JP offers abundant amenities including restaurants — ranging from take out to 4 Star — in an array of ethnic options. A great place for families, couples and singles.

Let's not forget this is New England. Pleasant car rides in almost any direction take you to the picturesque small towns you've seen on postcards. Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut and Vermont are each within an hour's drive. In fact, you can drive to Montreal in about 6 hours . . . and New York City in about 4.

Good spot for a great visit.
