SECLUDED LUXURY MT. LOG HOME (ACCESS TO 180 ACRES) SKI, BIKE, SLED, SNOWMOBILE

Granby House Rental Photos and Description

5 Bedrooms + Loft + Den, 7 Baths (Sleeps 12-20); $499-699/night

This spectacular, one-of-a-kind log house was built by us in 2003. The 18' Engleman Spruce logs are from Southern Utah and were designed and built specially for our home -- truly a work of art! Sitting on 17.5 acres, high upon a ridge, the views are nothing less than amazing, including the Continental Divide. With your reservation, we grant access to another of our properties, just a half mile away. This property is 24 acres with the only access to over 140 acres of state land. It is perfect for private snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and hiking. A great way to enjoy the local mountain scenery.

Each room in the house has been carefully designed and decorated featuring high-end furnishings and comfort at every turn. An individual theme has been given to each of the five master suites, including the Luxury Master Suite, the Bear Room, the Moose Room, the Fish Room and the Cowboy Room. If you are a movie or game buff, check out our movie/game room with the projector TV and 11-foot movie screen with surround sound for a movie theater experience.

All four seasons are enjoyed and appreciated in this home. It is a great gathering place, whether for relaxation, fun, beauty, nature or to create memories of a lifetime. Our favorites are tubing down our road in the winter and building a fire to roast s'mores in the summer, along with horseshoes and swinging in the hammock.

We hope to provide an unforgettable vacation for you and fulfill your dreams!

Magnificent Memories

We enjoyed our stay in the Rocky Ridge Lodge. This home is artistically created, beautifully decorated, well appointed, spacious, and very accommodating. We appreciated how well the home was supplied in every way: bedding, baths, laundry(one for each family!), toys and the kitchen (even double dishwashers!). The heated garage was fabulous for ski and snow boot removal and storage. Thank you for anticipating the details that make a pleasant stay.

We enjoyed our time together as siblings, spouses, Nonnie, and cousins. 8 of us worked well together in the kitchen. Dining for 14 was perfect for Family dinner - with children in the nook. Fabulous sledding down the driveway. Great movie night. Best rounds of flashlight hide-and-seek ever.

Our entire group agreed: Cousin time at Rocky Ridge was epic.
Thanks for the spectacular place to make magnificent memories.

Great Lodge!

Our family of 20+ (adults, kids, babies) was able to enjoy the Rocky Ridge Lodge this past December for our Mother's 70th and the family Christmas gift exchange. The Lodge was beautiful and interior appearance did not disappoint. Loved all the mounted animals. Very inpressive. Pictures were accurate. The kitchen and living room was our main hangout which stayed nice and cozy with the fireplace blazing. The views were stunning as the snow fell. Kids really enjoyed the game room and the driveway sledding. Adults enjoyed the garage ping pong table, sitting around the large dinning table, and lounging in the living room. Made a nice dinner and with the multiple ovens and dishwashers made the cleanup more manageable. Would love to revisit in the summer under one condition, they need to replace some o the mattresses. Especially the pull out beds, extremely uncomfortable. It would have also been appreciated if all of the pull outs where also madeup with sheets/blankets.

My family stayed here for 5 days and it was perfect for the 12 of us! Lots of space to spread out and relax! The kitchen had everything we needed and the two dishwashers was super helpful after our big meals. Every activity was only about 20 minutes away! We would definitely stay here again in the future!

GET ME BACK THERE!

Went out to Granby for a long weekend with the boys from back in the day and this house is incredible! The pictures actually do not do it justice which I couldn't even imagine until we walked through the door. The vista out the back is absolutely awesome and you will not get bored just sitting out on the deck with a cocktail. The fire pit in the front yard is perfect.

The beds are extremely comfortable, the massage chairs in the theater room are perfect for a post hike/ski revamp, and the kitchen is perfect for a feast. We picked up some meat from the butcher in Denver on the way out and had an absolutely fantastic meal thanks to the kitchen accessories and the grill! There is a huge and very well stocked grocery store right down the main road, so you don't need to prepare anything before!

Activities: Great hiking up around Lake Granby but make sure you bring water unless you are used to starting hikes at 9,000feet, White Water Rafting on the Colorado River about 40 minutes northwest was the best event, running, biking, and Winter Park is right down the road. HIGHLY recommend Tabernash Tavern for Dinner. The place is hands down, fantastic... and this comes from a bunch of NYC'ers who have the best restaurants in the world at their disposal day in and day out.

If you get out here you MUST have a car unless you are just looking to sit around and relax. Most of the things to do are not close. Also, get there during the day... it's basically impossible to find in the pitch black.

100% would come back. It's awesome.

Our mountain home is located on 17.5 acres and sits on a ridge overlooking the Continental Divide and Byers Peak, as well as a vast valley view of Granby and Sol Vista Ski Area. We located 1.5 hours from Denver and 4 miles east of Granby on County Road 60. Hot Sulphur Springs is located 25 minutes away and is one of the nation's oldest, largest and finest natural hot mineral springs, as well as a swimming pool. Ute Indians once bathed there, healing mind, body and spirit. In the winter enjoy a horse-drawn sled ride in nearby Fraser. Sol Vista provides skiing and tubing -- very family friendly! Snowshoeing and ice fishing in the wintertime. Experience a rodeo over the weekends in Granby. An intriguing fossil bed near Kremmling. Alpine slide at Winter Park. Take Trail Ridge Road over Rocky Mountain National Park for a scenic drive to Estes Park, another fun mountain tourist town.

Other Activities: shopping, boating, kayaking, basketball court, racquetball, mini golf, health/beauty spa, snowboarding, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, horseshoes
