5 Bedrooms + Loft + Den, 7 Baths (Sleeps 12-20); $499-699/night

This spectacular, one-of-a-kind log house was built by us in 2003. The 18' Engleman Spruce logs are from Southern Utah and were designed and built specially for our home -- truly a work of art! Sitting on 17.5 acres, high upon a ridge, the views are nothing less than amazing, including the Continental Divide. With your reservation, we grant access to another of our properties, just a half mile away. This property is 24 acres with the only access to over 140 acres of state land. It is perfect for private snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and hiking. A great way to enjoy the local mountain scenery.

Each room in the house has been carefully designed and decorated featuring high-end furnishings and comfort at every turn. An individual theme has been given to each of the five master suites, including the Luxury Master Suite, the Bear Room, the Moose Room, the Fish Room and the Cowboy Room. If you are a movie or game buff, check out our movie/game room with the projector TV and 11-foot movie screen with surround sound for a movie theater experience.

All four seasons are enjoyed and appreciated in this home. It is a great gathering place, whether for relaxation, fun, beauty, nature or to create memories of a lifetime. Our favorites are tubing down our road in the winter and building a fire to roast s'mores in the summer, along with horseshoes and swinging in the hammock.

We hope to provide an unforgettable vacation for you and fulfill your dreams!

Weddings - NEW!!: If you are looking for a place to hold a small wedding or reception, this may be the place! There is a $5000 security/damage deposit. The rental for the day of the wedding or reception would be $4500 for up to 30 people, $5500 for up to 40 people, $6500 for up to 50 people. Up to 20 people would be able to stay over night at the house and can rent the house for other nights at the regular rental rate. Kristen would be at the house on the day of the wedding/reception to help and supervise and the cleaning fee would be $500. Email or call for more information and to get a quote for your event.

Our mountain home is located on 17.5 acres and sits on a ridge overlooking the Continental Divide and Byers Peak, as well as a vast valley view of Granby and Sol Vista Ski Area. We located 1.5 hours from Denver and 4 miles east of Granby on County Road 60. Hot Sulphur Springs is located 25 minutes away and is one of the nation's oldest, largest and finest natural hot mineral springs, as well as a swimming pool. Ute Indians once bathed there, healing mind, body and spirit. In the winter enjoy a horse-drawn sled ride in nearby Fraser. Sol Vista provides skiing and tubing -- very family friendly! Snowshoeing and ice fishing in the wintertime. Experience a rodeo over the weekends in Granby. An intriguing fossil bed near Kremmling. Alpine slide at Winter Park. Take Trail Ridge Road over Rocky Mountain National Park for a scenic drive to Estes Park, another fun mountain tourist town.

  • The moose room also has a Single sleep sofa. The baby crib is a portable fold-away crib and there is also a bunk bed with crib sized mattresses. The loft is an open area on the upper floor between the moose and cowboy rooms. The den is a room with a door on the lower level of the house. The adult sized bunk beds, are twin width, not double.

Our vacation was off the chart with this home! We found it easily with the wonderful directions provided. This was a super place to spend our week off from the daily grind. The drive to Winter Park Ski area everyday was worth it to stay in a place like this. We will be booking again next year. Great memories were made in this amazing home! The manager answered any and all questions I had leading up to our visit extremely fast. We knew when we drove up that we were in for a great week and we weren't disappointed! This is the best place we have stayed so far using VRBO!

Magnificent cabin - one of a kind

We booked this cabin for a reunion with friends. There were 15 people in total, including several kids. We enjoy skiing at Granby Ranch due to our young kids, and we are accustomed to the convenience of a ski-in/ski out resort. With this large group, however, we opted for this cabin, which is about a 10 minute drive to Granby Ranch. The minute we walked in, we knew booking this place was the right move - it was just beautiful. The layout is gracious, the views are stunning, and there is so much space for everyone. We moms loved sitting in the loft and listening to the kids playing in the great room below. It was also perfect to have a separate dining area for the kids. We cooked up yummy meals in the nicely appointed kitchen and served them at the dining room table and had a blast doing game nights there as well. We loved the TWO dishwashers! The cabin was so warm, cozy, and beautiful - it made staying off-mountain totally worth it. If you are vacationing with a couple of families and looking for a place to really spread out and RELAX - this is the place. The scenery is just lovely, and the thoughtfulness of the owners comes through.

The Whole Family

My parents rented this home for an "entire family" vacation at the beginning of this year. There were 23 of us that stayed in the home and we had plenty of room. The home is beautiful, comfortable and very well equipped just as described. When we had any questions before going on our trip and would call or send emails - we were quickly replied to and taken care of. The nearby skiing, tubing, snowmobiling, & shopping was tons of fun. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous. We had so much fun making memories with parents, cousins, siblings, & grandkids. We would definitely recommend this property. You will love it!

Lovely for family Christmas

Our family of twelve enjoyed being together in this lovely home. We had room to spread out and found any concerns quickly addressed. (Thanks for having the road plowed out so soon after our call). We took full advantage of the near-by ski area and the YMCA Mountain Ranch for winter activities. Some of the little ones weren't feeling well, so they really enjoyed the large screen in the media room. We would be delighted to stay here again.
