VERY PRIVATE, GATED, LUXURY VILLA SITUATED ON 1.4 OCEANFRONT ACRES

What a special place Cliffhanger is!! Six of us went for a golf week with sun and fun, beaches and boating. We were not disappointed! Cliffhanger's views from everywhere are spectacular. Our bedroom and the living room were directly looking at the ocean, like being on a cruise ship with out the rocking! Some of us took advantage of the deck and the view to work out every morning! Helps to have a PT with you too! Joe, the care taker of the house was extremely helpful and friendly. His suggestions of restaurants (Room with a View)** and things to do were spot on. If we had a problem, he attended to it. WE also had a chef come in to prepare a wonderful dinner. Her name is Cassandra, highly recommend doing that. Every night was capped off lying on the lounge chairs gazing at the stars with a nice glass of wine in hand!! It was like being in paradise for a week!!

My friends (6 of us) and I couldn’t have asked for a more gorgeous, picture perfect vacation while staying at Cliffhanger. From the minute we were greeted at the airport by Sally to walking thru the front door of Cliffhanger and seeing the amazing views from the incredible deck, we knew it was going to be a wonderful week. Aside from a few minor repairs which were promptly taken care of by Joe (Sally and Joe are the caretakers) the house has everything you would want and then some. The décor is well appointed, the kitchen is totally gourmet, and the bedrooms had comfy beds, full baths, and all air-conditioned, not that you needed it. This brings me to my first suggestion. If you visit during the winter months (we were there in February), the beautiful night breezes on the deck are cool so bring a sweater. We spent our days lounging on the deck, hitting the beach at Magen’s Bay (a short drive from Cliffhanger) and visiting neighboring islands. My second suggestion is definitely try the Bushwacker and Painkiller at Magen’s Bay (just don’t drink too many LOL) and definitely do paddle boarding. The bay is calm so it’s a perfect place to paddleboard, especially if you’re a beginner. And the price was great - $30 for 1 hour. My third suggestion is to charter a boat and tour the neighboring islands. Our boat, Eau La La (information was left at Cliffhanger about the charter) was captained by Christian, who was extremely informative and knew the history of many of the islands. He took us to all the hotspots, including Foxy’s and the Soggy Dollar Bar (home of the original Painkiller), both on Jost Van Dyke, BVI. We also anchored at a deserted island where a famous Corona commercial was made, and pulled into a wonderful cove for snorkeling. It was an incredible day. We also took the ferry to St. John’s one day. It was suggested by a friend of ours to go to Skinny Legs for the best burgers and friendly staff. There are a lot of great restaurants in town and a lot of fun shops, especially jewelry! Yes, a couple of us brought home some baubles. We elected to eat dinners in because (1) we loved being at Cliffhanger and (2) none of us wanted to drive on the narrow, curvy roads at night. My fourth suggestion is to bring a cooler with frozen meats. It took us no time to find the Utter Delight for the best, alcohol infused (if desired) milkshakes on the island. And it’s very close. My last suggestion is book your vacation at Cliffhanger now!

Excellent in all respects. The property is beautiful and the owners and caretakers are friendly and professional. Cliffhanger is exactly as advertised. A "five star" vacation.
