A retreat like this is virtually unheard of. Six acres of in town waterfront privacy located in Sky Country, an exclusive mountain top enclave just a short distance from Dahlonega’s historic town square. From the moment you enter our gate & meander down the long private drive, you know this is indeed 'Bearadise'. (Sorry 4 the pun).
Situated on, and surrounded by beautiful Yahoola Creek, this mountainside gem is breathtaking. With decks cascading to the river’s edge, your outdoor choices for places to take in the beauty of our home’s surroundings seem limitless. There are inside & outside porches, beautiful bedrooms, grills, a recreation room with a pool table and a spectacular old world bar. There are trails & a waterfront lounging area that oozes serenity, affording you a getaway setting conveniently located near everything & yet so removed that you would swear you were in the Alaskan wilderness. On those cool nights that seem so peaceful, sit by the fireplace and warm your heart
In town close to everything- yet secluded for every individual-
Thank you, your home was so warm and inviting upon our arrival, the music and fireplace such a plus! The linens and kitchen were well stocked, we could have used a few more pans, cooking was challenging.
Seriously the only advise I would have....a little better cleaning crew, lots of dust bunnies!!
Thank you for sharing your home, we had one of the most wonderful family outings I can remember!
My son's baseball team along with their fathers stayed at the cabin over a weekend. Everyone had a blast. The cabin is large, clean, and well maintained. We were able to find a spot for everyone to sleep. In the evening of our arrival, we had an outdoor barbecue using the gas grill. The outdoor seating was sufficient for all of us. Later, we used the fire pit and roasted s'mores. The kids hiked in the woods and enjoyed playing pool. We cooked a huge breakfast spread in the fully furnished kitchen. All of the kids were sad to leave.
I plan to bring my wife back for a weekend getaway. The owner even said he would have a bottle of champagne waiting for us. Cannot wait to return.
The perfect place for our family reunion this past Christmas. Children and grandchildren (11 in total) came from all across the US to meet in Dahlonega at "Bearadise." I had some concerns, not having had the opportunity to see the property before the reunion, but it was perfect. It exceeded my expectations in every way. I even called the owner after entering the home to tell him how impressed I was with the Chalet. The pictures, impressive as they are, do not do it justice. The owner was great to work with, making our arrival easy, providing ammenities to make our stay more enjoyable, and even decorating the place for Christmas. We had a wonderful reunion in a wonderful place, that I would like to come back to visit in other seasons of the year - especially summer! You will not be disappointed with this property!
We had our children and their families with us for a Thanksgiving reunion. As the previous reviews indicated, the house is clean and roomy and the wifi works well throughout. We had beautiful weather so made good use of the many decks on Thanksgiving day when more friends joined us for dinner. The location is a big plus. Even though you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, you are less than 10 minutes from the square in Dahlonega with all of it's restaurants, cafes and shops. You're also less than 5 minutes from a Wal-Mart and it's surprising how many runs we made for last minute items we forgot. Wineries and the Appalachian Trail are 30 minutes away. We've stayed in the Blue Ridge area before but found it to be pretty remote. Lastly, I should add that we found the owners to be very accommodating.
The Cabin was amazing, exactly what it promised. 5 minutes out of downtown, but still in the middle of nowhere! We where able to relax and enjoy nature!
The dogs loved the running around the creek bed, and the adults loved relaxing on one of the many rocking chairs or porches.
I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking to relax in Dahlongona!
The description of Bearadise is inadequate, only because words can't possibly describe how wonderful it is! It is absolutely beautiful and very clean. The owners are wonderful to work with and have made the process of reserving a place to stay for my family and me for Christmas an enjoyable one. There's not many other places I'd rather be for the Celebration of our LORD'S birth. I would recommend it anytime of year to my closest friends and relatives. Would love to stay during the summer when we could enjoy getting in the river. Dahlonega is a special place to visit and we feel Blessed to have been able to stay right in the heart of it, yet feel like we were miles away from everyone and everything!! We'll be back!!!
Dahlonega=Special, With an old town square full of restaurants, historic buildings, artisans, interesting shops, and a host of fun festivals throughout the year, there's something for everyone. How about a Jack Nicklaus designed golf course, or live theater, or gold panning, a gold museum, & a real gold mine. Sample the fine fare from several world class wineries. There is so much to do and see including horseback riding, canoeing, river rafting, tubing, hiking the Appalachian Trail, biking, and climbing. Explore the Picturesque North Georgia College Campus, & don't miss the Fall Colors. Nearby are a host of interesting sights, including Amicalola Falls, the tallest waterfall east of the Mississippi (729’). The Kangaroo Conservation Center, with the largest concentration of kangaroos outside of Australia is nearby, while the Chestatee Wildlife Preserve, home to tigers, bears, camels, monkeys and more, is on Old Dalonega Hwy. Shopping Anyone? The Dawsonville outlet mall is nearby.
