Patzcuaro Apartment Rental Photos and Description
Apartment, 1 Bedroom + Other (See Description), 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 2-4)
The casita is located 3 blocks from the Plaza Grande of Patzcuaro. The safe neighborhood provides comfort and convenience. While the casita is private and enjoys its own entrance, your hosts live next door, available for your questions, problems, or simple 'acclimatization'. We finished the construction in January 2009.
We have designed and decorated the casita to be comfortable and serviceable for the long and short term visitor. The lower floor contains the large bedroom with a big dresser, cadenza, and TV. A large walk-in closet provides sufficient storage. The master bath area has a shower, sink, toilet and linen closet. A coat closet at the entrance is deep and ideal to store luggage. The covered outdoor service area houses the washer and dryer.
Upstairs, the living area has immense light and beautiful views. The living room has a loveseat, upholstered chair, hassock and entertainment center. The dining area accommodates 4. The full kitchen has a 4 burner stove & oven, large refrigerator, and a big pantry. A half bath is located between the kitchen and the terrace. The outdoor terrace includes a table and four comfortable chairs.
For the couple (or single) looking for fantastic views, privacy, safety, and all of the conveniences one would hope for in a U.S. timeshare, this casita is perfect. All of historic downtown Patzcuaro is a short walk away.

Your hosts, Miles & Bekky Thompson, have lived in Patzcuaro for seven plus years. We rented an apartment in Patzcuaro for three months in 2006 to explore and decide whether we would relocate here permanently. That experience provided a lot of insight of what we would enjoy having in a rental unit. We also exchanged timeshares in the United States and Mexico for twenty years. We have included the conveniences we liked, and the necessities we missed, in the creation of our casita.
Since 1994, we have travelled in many parts of Mexico. We chose to relocate to Patzcuaro for many reasons. While cool in the winter, our mountain town never suffers high temperatures in the summer. Being located in central Mexico allows us easy 3-4 hour trips to the beach, Guadalajara, Mexico City, San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato. The eclectic group of Canadians and United States citizens is interesting. Most 'relocatees' are engaging and unpretentious, The native Patzcuarians are warm and welcoming.
