Come enjoy the lake with friends and family in a beautiful deep water cove. Everyone will love swimming or floating off the dock in the large quiet cove. Along the shoreline is a huge deck where you can spend the entire day and enjoy some shade from the trees in the afternoon. There is so much to do - take out the kayaks for an early morning paddle, boat rides to enjoy the pristine lakefront around the park, Fish, Hike or bike in the park or enjoy the best water ski or wake boarding water on the lake minutes from the cove. We even have a friendly school of bluegills that hang out under the dock that the kids love to feed crumbs.

The huge screened in porch is great for an evening drink or while dinner is on the grill and ping pong or shuffleboard matches in the game room make for night time excitement. For a mellow evening enjoy the large living room with cathedral ceiling on the main floor and take in a movie. The entire house was furnished with new furniture in 2008.

The house is located on beautiful Lake Norman right next to Lake Norman State Park. The park is over 32,000 undeveloped acres making this the most scenic area on the lake. Inside the park are biking and hiking trails, a large swimming area with a beach & life guard in addition to lots of natural wildlife. Lake Norman has beautiful clear water and 520 miles of shore line for adventure.

Mooresville is a few miles away and is one of the fastest growing towns in NC. In town there is plentiful shopping and dining options in addition to being known as 'Race city USA'

Day trips in the area include a visit to the Lazy Five Ranch, the Rapture Trust, or head down to Charlotte and visit the Children's Museum, Carowinds Theme Park or the Charlotte Motor Speedway, and much more.

  • The house was designed with maximum privacy for the bedrooms. Each of the main level king suites are on either wing of the home off the living area for privacy. Each has a television, private bath & large closet. The Lower level is all walk out and has one king suite w/ private bath, twin trundle bed & large closet off the game room. There are 2 bedrooms on the other side of the game room, one room with a queen bed & another bedroom with two bunk beds and futon. Both rooms share a vanity area & full bath.

Notes: There is a huge screened in porch / deck off of the main floor with lots of room for games or evening chats. The game room also has a 14' professional shuffleboard table. There are two Kayak's and paddles down at the dock. Under the deck there is a patio with a chair swing, hammock chair and table with seating for 6. Renters are responsible for providing their own beach towels. Lake Norman State Park is less than 2 miles away and offers a swimming area with beach and life guard, walking and biking trails and a boat launch.

50th anniversary

We were looking for a place to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary and the setting and house worked out great for all of us. We had my brother in from Michigan, and my sister from Virginia with all of our kids. There was so much going on but we never seemed on top of each other. The lake is beautiful and was hard to get the kids out of the water. We want to come back for a week in the summer. The closest town is about 15 minutes away so plan a big shopping run so you don't have to travel out often.

Great place to relax and enjoy the family

Our family is spread out around the country. We had a wedding in the area 4 years ago and that is the first time our family stayed here. We now use this home each year as our family's spot to get together and catch up. The home and the bedrooms are spread out so everyone has their own space and it seems like the owners add something to the place each year we go back. The kids love the dock and spend the whole day swimming and kayaking. The screened in porch is the adults time for dinner and wine while the kids play ping pong and shuffleboard. The house is always super clean and has everything you need so you can pack light. Thanks for giving our family a home away from home.

Every year we get our family together from all over the south. The kids to grandparent all had great fun at this house, there was lots to do for everyone and can't wait to get back. The owners seemed nice and were helpful.

Good Fun - Great place for our family

We had family from North Carolina, Virginia and Florida meet at the lake we all had a great time. The house was great, roomy (3 Master suites gave everyone their own space) and the dock and water were good fun for all. We spent the days at the lake and had great dinners on the screened in porch and good fun playing with all the toys at the house at night. The place was very clean and comfortable with something for everyone.

The owners were very nice and made sure all was perfect for our stay.
