In the trendiest, artsy section of Washington DC, Dupont Circle - example of Pierre L'Enfant's vision for the city, great avenues radiating off small parks like spokes on a wheel, we offer the best value in furnished apartments, truly a home away from home: just bring your clothes.

We offer clean simple and comfortable furnished apartment with availability throughout the year.

This garden level/basement one bedroom apartment with one bathroom on the garden floor of historic Art Deco building is steps from world class restaurants, avant-garde theaters, trendy cafes and the best shopping this city has to offer. The apartment is decorated with passion and attention to detail: simple furniture, color coordinated sheets, rugs, cotton linens, kitchen and bath ware. Please note that this is our least expensive unit because it is in the basement. It has full size windows and it has been remodeled. It is clean, simple and comfortable. The bed in the bedroom is full size and there is a twin size sleeper sofa which folds out.

The building features outdoor seating patio, washer and dryer (shared) and close proximity to Metro only block and a half away.

Garage parking is available near our unit for $20 to $30 a day.

Street parking is by permit only between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. We can get visitor's parking pass for you from a local police station for $40 for the stay, and you can park, day and night, on the street. The parking pass is for zone 1, so any street marked zone 1 on the signs is fine (quite a large area). Please note that during the season the streets get cleaned -please read signs clearly and visibly posted on each street when you must move your car for street cleaning.

About Eva

hi,

originally from Prague, Czech Republic, Washington DC has become my second home twelve years ago when I came to study at Georgetown University.

I live in this wonderful city with my two boys Alexander and Christopher, only few blocks from the rental property. We spend every weekend at a museum (Air and Space is the favorite), hiking through Rock Creek Park or on a fifty year old carousel in front of the Smithsonian Gardens and we hope that all our guests enjoy this vibrant city as much as we do.

Why Eva chose U Street Corridor

As a single mom I need to provide for my two boys. I love to travel and so do my kids. Most of the time I travel out of DC and the situation helped me see that just as I love to leave the city and to explore other places, there are people who come to visit DC to spend time with their families. My two boys, my family, are the best critics of any place, as no furnishings are safe from their play and no vase is sacred to them. Our places are luxurious but ready to be used. I understand what most travelers need to feel comfortable since I have traveled extensively around the world to Africa, South and Central America, Asia and Europe . Please come and share your vacation time in our home. I promise that we will do our best to make you feel comfortable.

This is the reason I bought my rental property.

What makes this condo unique

From our apartment in the heart of Dupont Circle the access to all the tourist attractions, world famous restaurants, great bars and the biggest selection of privately owned galleries is just steps away. The metro stop is only a block and a half away, next to Starbucks. The 14 Street buses run directly downtown from our bus station at the end of the block; every two minutes during rush hour and every six minutes other times.

The White house, The Mall and The Smithsonian Museums are less than a mile away; about fifteen minute walk or few metro stops.

Highly Recommended!

This is an excellent condo with great amenities and an amazing location. The property is exactly as described and the pictures are very accurate. There is everything you need to make this your home away from home. This is a much better value than a hotel room. The owner has thought of everything you may need during your stay (DVDs, books about DC, soap, shampoo, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, etc.). And if you forgot anything you need there is Trader Joe's around the corner and a Whole Foods

not far away. The best part of the condo is definitely the location. It is a great place to call home during your exploration of the city and just a couple minute walk to a metro on the Green/Yellow Line. I didn't contact the owner with any questions or require additional information, but the basic information Eva provided was more than enough for me. I am very impressed with the professionalism she displayed and would be very happy to rent from her again. I highly recommend this condo!

Great stay in DC. Apartment very clean. New appliances. Unit is small but suitable for family of 4. Metro stop 2 blocks away. Many restaurants and grocery very close. Able to park on street very close to unit. Would stay here again.

Would not recommend

We cut our 5 day stay down to 3 and left DC early for the following reasons:

1. The hall was so full of stuff (old toys, pizza boxes, gallon jugs of chemicals) we could barely walk through to the apartment or to the outdoor patio (which was full of flies and dirty) when we arrived.

2. There was construction in the apartment down the hall which was very loud.

3. The basement apartment has strong mold odors and the white couch is in terrible condition.

4. The apartment, hall and laundry room had cockroaches-- big ones that didn't run away when we came in.

The owner refunded our money through VRBO but also insisted that the cockroaches were "water bugs" and the construction wasn't very loud since she didn't think we would mind it going on since we'd be out all day. I was very disappointed and would never stay here again.

We had a great time in Washington! El apartmento es pequeño pero muy cómodo para conocer la ciudad. Está muy bien situado: el Metro está muy cerca y el vecindario tiene buenos restaurantes y cafés. Eva estuvo siempre dispuesta a ayudarnos. Su atención hizo que nuestro tiempo en la ciudad fuera muy agradable.

This apartment is in a great location. There were many wonderful restaurants within a few blocks, hard to choose from! The Metro is a short walk of just a few blocks. We took the Super Shuttle from Dulles here for only $39 for two of us, then made reservations to have them pick us up for the return trip to the airport. Perfect transportation and economical.

The apartment is small, but just right for two people. Whole Foods is a few blocks away, so we were able to enjoy coffee and a simple breakfast each morning while planning our day.

The apartment was clean and had the necessary amenities for the two of us. So much more private than a hotel, quiet and easy access to metro bus or metro train.
