We step out the front door and am 2 minutes from these scenic mountain roads. Lea bakes award winning goodies like cakes and pies and muffins. (she loves to share them with our guests!)
Jeff and Lea Boyer purchased this house in 2009
In all the years we've lived in the Catskills we've never seen anywhere as breathtakingly beautiful as Palenville. We walk out of our door and can swim in the stream, 4 blocks down a country lane is a trail head that leads up an incredible mountain. A few weeks ago we hiked up and were looking down on clouds and across to the Hudson and it was magnificent. The beauty is why we love Palenville.
This home is so convenient! Walk to all you need! It's easy to get to Woodstock, Hunter, Saugerties, Catskill, Hudson. We love to listen to the sound of the stream at night. The gardens are beautiful. It's great to grill in the back yard.
It was lovely staying at the charming home of Jeff and Lea for a weekend wedding in their area. We met Jeff on the first night, who was especially warm and welcoming. They had coffee, tea, fresh fruit, egg, cream, jam and bread waiting for us for a hearty breakfast. And as is mentioned in the description, the division has a separate entrance from the home so it really felt like you were tucked away for great privacy. The stream did indeed lull you to sleep at night and we said to ourselves more than once, "This is God's Country". Gorgeous. I would definitely go back!
