House, 7 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 16)

The Maryland House is a lovingly and beautifully restored 1920's house with great enclosed porch. Large DR can easily seat 10-12, separate breakfast room seats 6. Two-zone CAC system. One BR with twin beds is on the first floor. There is a full bath on the first floor also. There are 12 beds in 7 BR's. Three BR's have sinks. Parking is provided in the driveway for two cars and two passes are provided for on-street parking.

The beach and Boardwalk are just a short 1-1/2 block walk from the house. Restaurants and shops are also within easy walking distance.

Large LR, enclosed porch, large DR and a breakfast room allow families and groups to spread out and have lots of space.

Weekly (Sat.-Sat.) rentals in season. Weekend rentals between Labor Day and Memorial Day weekend with a two-night minimum stay. Holiday weekends require a three-night minimum. Linen and infant supply packages are available in the off-season for an additional charge.

Availability calendar shows available dates in the Main House that has 7 BR's and can sleep 16 in beds. One bedroom and 1 bathroom are on the first floor, all others are on the 2nd floor. The Maryland House is a legally zoned residential multi-dwelling property. In addition to the Main House there are cottages on-site. This listing reflects only the features of and rates for the Main House.

Contract signers need to be 21 years of age or older, and present during the time of the rental agreement.

The Maryland House will be closing in late September 2013 for the winter to allow for renovations to the kitchen, dining room and 1st floor bathroom. Please look for our changes! We will be reopening to rentals in May 2014.

Why Susan chose Rehoboth Beach

We have been vacationing in Rehoboth Beach since the late 1980s. We love Rehoboth Beach due to it's family atmosphere and wide variety of people.

We love that once we are here, we can walk everywhere - from the beach and boardwalk to great restaurants and shops.

Our family purchased this property in April 2011, and it has been a truly wonderful venture! The previous owners lovingly restored much of the house, and built up a wonderful business with many long-standing repeat tenants. During the winter of 2012-2013 we repainted many of the rooms, and redecorated the large living room. We also replaced the roof and added other things that will make for a more comfortable and relaxing stay for everyone who stays with us.

What makes this house unique

We love the friendliness of the people on street we're on. We love that we can walk anywhere in a matter of 5 minutes. We also love our enclosed front porch, and we enjoy sitting there no matter what season or what the weather - windows opened or closed, you get to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We also love that even a large group of people can all sit down and eat dinner together, either inside the house or in the spacious back yard.

This house is located close to everything, but is also peaceful and has privacy. We feel like we're in the middle of everything, but we can relax completely at the house.

2012 will be our 3rd year renting the Maryland House and we're looking forward to it! We have rented the main house and the lower level of the cottage in the back. Both have been well maintained and supplied. Last year our check-in day fell on the day of the arriving hurricane and the owners couldn't have been more accommodating. They checked out the house as quickly as they could and allowed us to come down late that night. They are very easy to get a hold of and are ready to take care of anything that comes up. While the accommodations are always in the forefront when renting a vacation house, I find it to be equally as important that the owners are accessible and fair. Our large family has been quite happy here the last 2 years and we intend to continue our annual visit to the beach staying at the Maryland House!

Comfortable home that we are so glad the owers share with us!

We have vacationed with our extended family here for several years. It is the perfect distance from the boardwalk and many shops. Love the front porch and the fact that it had a variety of room and bed sizes for everyone. Everything is just as pictured, and nicely kept.

For rainy day fun, Creatable Crafts is a good time. Try Clearspace Theater for entertainment. The younger kids like to walk the boardwalk to PlayLand every night. Mom likes the yarn shop nearby and the downstairs bedroom and bath.

Fantastic vacation!

We stayed at the Maryland House with a group of long time friends and their kids, age 2 to 50s. We had a great time! The house is large enough that the kids could play and the adults could enjoy each others company, and both groups did not get in each others way. It's close walking distance to the beach and the main street in Rehoboth is so convient - we never moved our cars except to go to the big grocery store on Rt. 1, the movies, or one of the many golf courses in the area. Great restaurants, the beach, the boardwalk, Bob's bike rentals, and other activities are so close. We'll be back, definitely!
