This cozy cottage is in the heart of the Dillon Beach village. It is walking distance from the beach (only 200 steps from the sand). Individuals of all ages would be comfortable walking to the beach from this location.
This house was built in 1915 and has wonderful charming characteristics, but was also updated in the Winter of 2009 for your comfort. The kitchen has a self cleaning propane range, microwave oven, coffee maker, toaster, electric grill, crock pot, electric mixer, blender, and even a nice large stock pot for soups and chili. I think you will find what you need in this well stocked kitchen for preparing delicious meals. The kitchen is part of the living room as well as the dining room. The living room has a comfortable microfiber couch and love seat and a 42' flat screen TV (with cable). We have also provided a DVD player and stereo with CD and an Ipod doc. This living room, dining room, kitchen combination is very warm and comfortable for family and friends.
This home also has a bonus room which is great for kids of all ages. It has 2 twin beds (daybed/trundle), a 37' flat screen t.v.(no cable in this room) for video games, and to play DVDs., There's also a game table and chairs, a small library with books and a selection of magazines (which we try to keep 'fairly' current).
The two upstairs bedrooms each have characteristics of their own. Both have comfortable queen mattresses and 4 pillows per bed for sitting up and enjoying the view while reading. The 'White room' has a refreshing 'beach' theme to it. The 'brown room' has a warm, simple more modern feel to it as well as a unique corner closet. Both rooms have dressers for your personal belongings as well as several hooks. The upstairs bedrooms have relaxing views of the ocean. The upstairs is where the full bathroom is located and there is an easy access 'powder room' downstairs.
This home has an enclosed yard with an outdoor table and 6 chairs. The yard is good for kids and/or a small pet. It also has a nice view of the hills.
We have a propane barbecue for your convenience.
Our home is set up for fun and relaxation. We have a small front porch where we enjoy sitting and enjoying the sun and a unique view of the ocean as well as the people passing by. We have provided several board games, puzzles, DVD's (family friendly selection), CD/Ipod doc for your music, vintage video game system in the 'game room', books and magazines (for all ages) for your enjoyment. This home has been designed for a family or a group of friends of 6 (max.) to spend quality, fun, relaxing, time together.

This home was purchased in October of 2009 by 2 families who have grown up visiting Dillon Beach.
One family has shared a 'family home' for many years at this beach and decided they wanted a place of her own.
The other family started coming to Dillon Beach when their grandmother asked the milkman where he was going for his summer vacation (70+ years ago) and he said 'paradise'. Grandma got the directions, and it has become a family tradition passed down through the generations.
Both families wanted their own little piece of paradise. This was made possible by doing it together.
We've tried to provide all the amenities that we look for in a quality rental. This was based on our rental experience here in Dillon Beach. We have been in over 30+ homes here in the village. Our experiences have made us very aware of the needs of our guests. We hope our guests will find the the comforts of home with the beach 200 steps away.
It's perfect for family and friends who just want to relax.
Leslee purchased this house in 2009
The partners and their children wanted to have a home at the beach for themselves that suits their needs as well as share it with others. Dillon Beach is where they have spent many wonderful summers with their individual families. It has become a tradition that they wanted to have ownership in. They have fond, wonderful memories and wanted to add to those.
When deciding the amenities they wanted to have and provide, the owners used their past rental experiences at the beach and tried to include everything they desired in a 'Dillon Beach' rental.
Guests will find it clean, accommodating, and relaxing.
We look at this destination as a 'true vacation'. Dillon beach is such a lovely place, we have been known to drive in and stay for two weeks with out getting back in our car. This has been a wonderful place for annual family reunions. Our family has been known to rent up to 14 houses at one time, in the village. There is only 1 road in and out of the Dillon Beach area and the kids love the freedom of running back and forth to visit other family members. This is truly a relaxing, family destination.
Because of our experiences as renters, we know the importance of a well stocked kitchen, having a land line, television, games, DVD selection, stereo system, books, magazines, and having linens provided as well as comfortable beds and seating inside and out. Our home meets these criterias, for us as well as you.
All Activities Listed Are Available Within Surrounding Areas.
As requested, only listed places of interest within 15 minutes, however this is a wonderful area to explore.
Bodga Bay as well as the town of Bodega are quaint areas. You can find great golfing, fun beaches as well as a little market with fresh baked pies and home made chowders (free samples).
We also enjoy the bakery in Freestone, which is on the way to the town of Sebastipol.
Tomales, which is the closest town has 2 small churches, a grocery store, deli and a restaurant with a bar.
Point Reyes is a wonderful place to visit and you won't want to miss seeing the light house. Just be careful of flying hats. It is a bit windy.
Close to Nick's cove is where you can purchase some fresh oysters.
There's always Petaluma just 30 minutes away. They have some wonderful restaurants as well as shops. You can also find an 'Outlet' mall, if you so desire.
If you are willing to drive a little further, you are close to Napa Valley and Sonoma where you can do some wine tasting.
The surrounding areas to Dillon Beach make for a 'must see' in California. The scenic drives are a wonderful form of entertainment.
