We purchased our Seabrook Cottage from Nancy & Don Wyatt and we are excited to honor their years of tradition & excellence at 516 Cobby Creek! We love the low country and visit often through weekend trips and summer vacations with family and friends. The beaches of South Carolina and the Charleston area is especially significant to us because we both attended college here. We love the charm and grace of old historic Charleston and spent many hours wandering the alleys and streets, enjoying the night life, and admiring the architecture. We are thrilled to have a place at Seabrook and look forward to making cherished memories here.
Seabrook is a private gated island community. Every effort has been taken to preserve the natural beauty of this low country paradise. We enjoy the centuries old live oaks, the vast salt marsh vistas, and the pristine beaches. Deer, raccoons, foxes, and bobcats are sighted daily here.
Seabrook is a wonderful escape. We have 4 Brand New Genesis Beach Bikes for your use to explore the island. We enjoy the quiet solitude and casual life of the island. Our cottage is a great place to relax after spending time at the beach or visiting the historical Charleston sights nearby. Spring is our favorite time of year in Charleston. It is also the time of year that many of the homes and gardens in the 'South of Broad' district are open to the public. It is surprising what you'll find while wandering the small side streets between East Bay, Meeting, and King streets. We love the secret gardens and unique architecture of the downtown area. The self paced walking tours with guides that can be purchased from the Borders bookstore on Meeting St are a great way to get to know the history of Charleston. Just find a place to park your car and you can explore for hours. At the end of the day, we eat dinner at one of the many delightful restaurants near the old market, but since we both worked at AW Shuck's during our years at The College of Charleston we have to stop by there first! We are still great friends with the owner and we can get you the best table! If we wish to escape the downtown crowd, we head back toward the cottage and stop by the 'Mustard Seed' or 'Athens' both on Maybank Hwy on James Island. Or cross over the bridge onto John's Island and eat at The 'Fat Hen' or the 'Wild Olive' !!! This could be the best food local food you will ever eat in South Carolina...period!!!
