In the middle of thé famous ANTWERP CENTRE ZUID, at the south corner of the LAMBERMONT SQUARE

Well equipped, monumental ground floor apartment from 1890' with high ceiling in an old merchant shipper house. In the middle of the museums, and trendy atmosphere. bedrooms are connected and you will have to pass 1 bedroom to go to the other.

The environment is very relaxed, with a lot of nice artistic cafés, restaurants, terraces, tavern’s at 100m. 'Delhaize' large supermarket at 200m.

This centrally located, charming, self catering accommodation in Antwerp is spacious.

The 19th century corner house has retained many of its original features which include beautiful, high ceilings and the apartment is located on the ground floor of this building.

It comprises a bathroom (with a shower, and lavabo),separated toilet, 2 bedrooms, kitchen, spacious living room and dining rooms and a city-garden.

The area around the apartment is the place tourists want to be when they come and visit Antwerp as it is in the middle of artistic residential area.

Nearby there are all kinds of little shops, cafes and restaurants. You can see the new Palace of Justice as soon as you step outside, and the Museum of Fine Arts is at 100m. The house is 500m from the old port of Antwerp. All other sights and the train station are only a tram ride away.

The apartment is located on the ground floor of the house. It has an area of 130m², 1.430sqf. access wireless high speed internet available.

THE FAMOUS ZUID LAMBERMONTPLAATS: Less than 80 years after the start of the development of

the South neighborhood,

the decline started with the closure of the Hippodrome in 1958. In 1965 the South station was demolished, in 1968 the docks were filled and in 1973 the Hippodrome building was demolished as well.

Together with the loss of landmarks and harbor activity, many people left the area, also due to the deteriorating state of the houses. In 1990, only 23000 people lived in the area, compared to 50000 in 1920. Fortunately, the neighborhood survived: plans designed in the seventies by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill to demolish the whole of the South and replace it by a cluster of North side of the Filled-in docks

skyscrapers where never realized.

Firstly, it's a pretty large and monumental 2 bedroom apartment. It also has a beautiful private patio outside that is great to spend time in if the weather permits.
The apartment is perfect for people on a budget looking to explore the city
and it is quite a good choise for a short or a long visit in Belgium.

The neighborhood is magnifique. I went for a run every morning along the river as a background.
the neighborhood is very family friendly and safe. The tram is quite close and there are lots of busses also.The nearby restaurants were great and I would definately stay here in the future again and want to thank the owners for their hospitality.

Wonderful apartment/location/landlord

I have stayed in this apartment twice, in 2009 and 2010, for a total of five weeks. It is located in the most beautiful and interesting neighborhood in Antwerp. Within walking distance are great restaurants, cafes, art galleries and design showrooms, as well as practical necessities like grocery stores.
Perfect for ethusiastic walkers, it is convenient to public transportation, and parking is easy in the area.
The apartment itself is spacious, has much architectural interest, well-equipped kitchen and wifi/w-lan throughout.
The multi-lingual landlord will give you a warm welcome and is exceptionally helpful. I rent apartments overseas frequently and have never been treated better anywhere. You will enjoy your stay here.

Perfect location.Great place to stay!

The location is wonderful. There are supermarkets and lots of restaurants closeby, in the middle of musea.
There were 5 of us, and we were not crowded.
Nice and big appartment - what more could one want?

Lovely apartment in a wonderful environment

I spent a week in this apartment in the southern part of the city center, probably the most beautiful, elegant, safe and charming quarter of Antwerp.

It is located exactly into the heart of a district full of museum, lively restaurants and bars, trendy fashion showrooms... the historical part of the city can be easily reached by walking; a rich supermarket is very close; lots of parking in the neighborhood; direct access to the highway... it really is the perfect place to be in Antwerp!

I suggest this apartment to those who look for an original accomodation in a 19th century building, with a romantic atmosphere, but providing every need (e.g. wi-fi Internet connection).
A necessary mention must be done to the lovely, and wonderfully caring, owner of the property.
