About Lockie Hunter

I am a southern gal, raised in the mountains of Tennessee. My husband is from Maine, but our family of four now lives in Asheville, North Carolina, tucked in the hills. I am a professor of writing and literature at a local college, while my husband is a software guy. Our two children love placing their toes in the sand, and we try to get to the beach any time our place is not rented.

Why Lockie Hunter chose Garden City Beach

This beach condo was first purchased by my mom and dad to be a family beach place to go since we had moved from Tennessee to Boston in the 1970s. We missed the South Carolina beaches! I remember looking at the blueprints for the building as a ten-year-old, my heart full of excitement. We were one of the first to buy and we picked the exact unit we wanted, looking out at both the pool and ocean beyond. Many years later, as an adult, my parents sold it to me, and now my family of 4 can create their own memories of time at Garden City Beach. Since we have owned the condo since it was built we literally have renters who have been coming down for over 20 years. Many memories have been made here and we hope that you, too, will cherish the place as we do.

Notes: The unit consists of a queen master bedroom with private bath. The bedroom has amazing ocean views and sliding glass doors that open directly onto the deck. The 2nd bedroom is a queen as well furnished with a cozy quilt. This bedroom too boasts its own private bath. The 3rd bedroom is outfitted with 2 twin beds and comes with a direct entrance to a full bath that also opens onto the main living area. In the living room, there is also a couch that folds out into a full bed. So, the entire unit can comfortably sleep 8 adults! Other amenities include: Fully equipped kitchen with all the fixings such as ice maker, blender, microwave, coffee maker and more. Entertainment Center including LCD TV, VCR, CD and DVD player. High speed wireless internet access. Dining area that seats 6 plus 2 bar-stools for casual kitchen bar dining. Private balcony overlooking both the ocean and the pool. Private pool for guests of Seamaster only. Ample parking under the building and an overflow lot next door.

This condo is everything that is advertised. The location is perfect and the layout is ideal. The owner was easy to work with and willing to accomodate our dates. Our group was a group of girls that have been doing to Myrtle for the last 17 years. We hope to make this our new location for our future get-a-ways! Thank you for a great place!

My sister, her spouse, my spouse and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The condo lived up to the description we had read. We had excellent maintenance service when needed. And they do the cleaning before and after! We loved that part. All we had to do was get our stuff out, and load the dishwasher! The view of the ocean was magnificent, and for us who live inland, such a treat. We enjoyed the quietness,and were close to everything we love about the beach area. We want to return. The elevator was so appreciated for my brother in law!
