CASTRO PRIME LUXURY 2/2 + DEN + WIFI + PARKING.

To reinforce other reviews: great apartment that lives up to its publicity and photos. The owners were a pleasure to deal with and prompt to reply. The apartment was perfectly clean and well-stocked with linens. The kitchen had everything we went looking for. The location is terrific: a short walk to the muni buses and trains, around the corner from Mollie Stone's market (with an organic market nearby on 19th & Castro), close enough to Tartine for excellent coffee and bakery treats. Our family of four loved our stay. The nearby playground at Mission Dolores park has been recently refurbished and was a hit with our kids.

We spent 1 week at this lovely apartment home with 2 adults and 2 kids. There was plenty of space for us. The home was clean and the beds very large and quite comfortable. The 2 bathrooms made for a much nicer experience. The kitchen was slightly smaller than I had hoped but had most everything we needed, including stainless steel pans (non-teflon coated) which was a pleasure. The couch was very comfortable. We couldn't get the surround sound to work, but that was no problem. It was just 3 blocks to downtown Castro which was a pleasure to walk. No naked men - just one roller blader with a skin colored costume with leaves covering his privates. Walking by some of the "mens" shops was a bit uncomfortable for the family, but fully expected. We (as a family or individually) felt comfortable walking around the town, even at night. I think our only issue was that there was no double lock on the front door, but when we contacted the owner, he responded quickly. As you need a code to enter the building and it has security cameras, we were less concerned. It was tight getting the car in and out of the garage - we had a Hundyai SUV - but we did it and without a scratch. Having the parking space is a must if you are renting a car. Made for much less stress. We were happy we chose this property and highly recommend it.

This apartment has been completely re-done with all the nicest fixtures and finishes. I especially admired the bathrooms. They are like something you would find in a chic modern luxury hotel. I loved the shower and in the master and the big bathtub in the second bathroom. The huge King bed was crazy comfortable and the bedroom faces the rear, into the quiet green interior of the block, so I had the most restful nights sleep both nights. That is especially remarkable considering what a bustling neighborhood it is. We walked to everything, dinners at a delicious trattoria (Poesia) and to the packed bars of the Csatro and one of the best markets anywhere (Molly Stone's). This was a truly memorable weekend in a perfect city pad.
