We chose Santaluz to live because it feels like Tuscany. If you have been to Italy, you understand. When you enter the courtyard, you go back 300 years. It is close to everything, yet isolated from traffic and crowds of tourists. Our home is within a gated community and once you enter the gates, you will feel as if you've entered a 5 star resort.
The property is located where the super thick morning fog does not reach, yet we still enjoy peak ocean views on the horizon (which is especially nice during sunset!)
We had a wonderful vacation in Julio and Lindsay's Tuscany inspired villa. The home was clean, comfortable, relaxing and has great character and awesome panoramic views of the Rancho Santa Fe countryside. It really felt like home and was stacked with all basic essentials to make our stay fulfilling and enjoyable. The owners are very nice and accommodating people who take great pride in their home and are proactive in ensuring that their guests are getting everything they need to feel welcome and satisfied. And the Santaluz community has an old world architectural feel with natural beauty and topography - a real treat for walking. We highly recommend this place.
My family stayed at this beautiful home during the holiday season. If I could provide a theme for this property I'd say it is a Tuscan Contemporary. The setting and views reminded me of my time staying in a Tuscan villa near San Gimignano, Italy, only with ocean breezes. As the pictures present, this home is fully upgraded with every amenity a family would ever want for a month of relaxation. Within 5-10 minutes we found wonderful restaurants and within 15 minutes you can be on the beach! My favorite place to relax was outside in the grassy area overlooking the neighborhood below, wine in-hand, with the sun setting in the distance. My wife really enjoyed the open living room and kitchen, perfect for extended dinners and entertaining guests. I'm hoping to bring my parents here for another snow-free holiday season. The owners made sure every detail of our stay was looked after in a caring manner; I can't say enough about them. I have fond memories, and this will be our go-to spot when visiting San Diego!
The villa and my time spent there exceeded my expectations. It was all that the listing reflected and more! The Lopez's were fantastic and I have already recommended them to friends of my family going to San Diego this summer. It is a guaranteed to be a pleasant visit! I also recommend heading west to Del Mar to dine, where the restaurants are great.
This place is amazing. The owners did
such a wonderful work in decorating and
furnishing the home. You will have a
great time there for sure. The master
bedroom faces South-West and the sunset
is just amazing from there. I wish the
add would have a picture of the sunset
with the hot air balloons in the back
ground, then you would see what I speak
about. The owners are also very friendly
and professional. I dealt with both
