Villa Coral Reef is a beautiful centerfold dream house. Tastefully decorated, this custom built two story villa features a split floor plan lending more privacy to its guests. The high ceilings give a feeling of openness and freedom. The glass French doors in the Master Bedroom and Great Room beckon one to the lanai and the heated overflowing spa and pool. Located on a quiet cul-du-sac it offers beautiful views over multiple intersecting canals and amazing sunsets from the second story terrace. A walk away from the Four Mile Cove Eco Park and just a bike ride from the Coralwood Shopping Center, with fitness center and movie theater, there is no lack of things to do. A rental boat can be brought to the boat dock for your use. It is only minutes away from the river and on to the Gulf of Mexico (no locks). Or take the kayaks and explore the peaceful canals, and paddle through the mangroves to the Eco Park.
As a young girl in Ohio I was always dreaming of far away places. With a passion for travel, I met my husband in Europe. As he is Flemish, we reside in Belgium. For the past 22 years we have our own tour company, and have enjoyed introducing a multitude of travelers to the countless treasures that Europe has to offer. We have been from the North of Scotland to the South of Italy, from the mountains of Switzerland to the West coast of Ireland, but Florida has it's own charm!
Alene Nafziger purchased this villa in 2009
Our dream was to retire somewhere on the water. We traveled many times to visit friends in Florida and became attached to the Southwest area. We chose Cape Coral particularily for the close proximity to many attractions. Southwest Regional Airport is only a 20 minute drive, and once you cross the Vetrans Bridge you are immediately at your destination. Being minutes from shopping, restaurants, entertainment and the Eco Park Reserve is also a plus.
I really enjoyed staying in your home! It is so beautiful and comfortable! I have spent much of my time in your hot tub. My brother Chris stayed here in 2009 and said how good Moretti's Seafood was - well he was right! The restaurant is now called Tucan. It was awesome! We have also enjoyed the area beaches and all of the shopping. I would love to come back again!
We have a fabulous time in this vacation home. It was our first time renting a home and had some reservations about doing so initially. Arlene made the entire process very easy and handled all questions and transactions swiftly. Villa Coral Reef is a very clean and nicely decorated. This home on a cul de sac overlooking a serene canal. Peaceful with all the amenities you need. We loved spending time in the heated pool and hot tub once we figured out how to use and set the temperature. Location is convienent and within minutes to Pine Island, Matlacha, Sanibel Island, and Fort Meyers. We will definitely consider coming back for another stay.
Much thanks for sharing your home.
We loved this cul-de-sac home, street and its canal views! Alene and her property manger, Singrid were friendly and helpful. This location was quiet, but convenient to shopping, Veterans Memorial Pkwy and other services. Although it is convenient to the airport, allow 30-35 minutes during peak traffic!
Villa Coral Reef was beautifully decorated, had a lovely pool, hot tub/spa and lanai with adequate seating! The spaces in the home were great for all ages and the upstairs game room, bedroom and bathroom was a favorite. Alene and Daniel recently installed a pooltable/ping pong combo which was also enjoyed. Having a dock was fun, as were the kayaks. We were thrilled to see an alligator swimming in the canal one evening, as well as sunrises and sunsets.
Favorite outings for our grandchildren ages 5 and 13 included swimming, mini golf, walks though the 4 Mile Island Eco Cove and a trip to the Calusa Nature Park where they got to hold a 10' Albino Burmese Python with a ranger's assistance! Weather was fantastic the 2 weeks of Christmas and New Year which gave us lots of time to enjoy games on the lanai/patio! The children enjoyed the hot tub as much as the adults!
We really enjoyed buying and cooking great seafood from Merrick Seafood. We noticed their Cape Coral location also included a restaurant next door! Our favorite places to dine are Tarpon Lodge on Pine Island, Rum Runners in Cape Coral, Parrot Key Island Grille at Salty Sam's Marina in Fort Myers Beach, FL, which can be reach by car or boat. On Sanibel Island we enjoy Doc Ford's Rum Bar and Grille and Island Cow, both with outdoor patios. Also on Sanibel we love their beaches and the Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge. Fort Myers and Cape Coral have lovely beaches.too.
A thousand thanks Alene and Daniel for sharing your lovely home!

The house had everything you could want for a vacation and was very comfortable. There is so much to do in the surrounding area, but we found sitting by the pool or kayaking the canal the most enjoyable thing! The house is exactly as listed and the owners were awesome with booking.
A great house. The bedrooms are all quite nice, and the master bedroom is fantastic. The games room is a decent extra bedroom, although not private, with a great upper deck. Very suitable for kids, if you can get them to put the games away at night. Great pool and hot-tub that kept the kids occupied for hours, with quite a few pool toys. The Eco Park nearby is good for walks. If you try the kayak trail, make sure you enter and leave near high tide.
We didn't look to hard, but there isn't much other than shopping and the Eco Park in walking distance. The Imaginarium and Edison Ford museum are both a short drive away and great to see.
Both the owner and property manager are friendly and professional. Payments and credits aren't processed as quickly as you'd get dealing with a commercial property, but do get done so be patient for a few days.
