Antique Charm + Outstanding Location

We stayed here with a large party of friends in the summertime and loved it so much that we came back for a return visit in the winter! This is a 200 year old house that has been lovingly and thoughtfully restored by its owners. Yes, the stairs are steep and the bathrooms are not large by modern standards, but this is all part of the charm of an authentic old New England house. We found the house to be spacious and comfortable---plenty of quiet corners to read a book or simply contemplate the stunning views of the salt marsh, a large dining room for long and lazy afternoon luncheons with all of our friends, a very well equipped kitchen, a good wireless connection, a great outdoor shower, and a lovely back yard terrace overlooking the marsh.
In addition, we found the house to be very well located. We enjoyed the short walk into the charming town of Wellfleet with its art galleries and book stores and excellent restaurants and strolls into the woods for night swimming in the ponds. The gorgeous beach at the National Sea Shore is just a short drive away.
In short, we found the house to be nothing than less than a dream for a peaceful and relaxing vacation. Writing this review reminds me that we are past due for a return visit!
