CELEBRATE LIFE IN VILLA WITH 3 HOUSES, OCEAN VIEWS, NEAR BEACH

San Francisco Villa Rental Photos and Description

Villa, 2 to 7 Bedrooms, 8 Baths, (Sleeps 4 to 14)

Villa de Vistas is a luxurious, ecological paradise just five minutes from the beach and a twenty-minute walk from the center of San Pancho. The Villa has three separate houses that can be rented together or individually. It is located on a stunning property overlooking the Pacific......a perfect destination for those seeking tranquility and natural beauty without compromising comfort...... ideal for family reunions, gatherings of friends, and life's celebrations. All three houses are artistically designed and beautifully furnished with vibrant Mexican fabrics, tiles, and museum quality arts and crafts.

Although there are many distinctive features at Villa de Vistas, these seem to be the most remarkable:

FIRST: ITS SHEER SIZE (over 8200 sq. ft.) and the thoughtful way in which the three houses and even the individual rooms are related to one another. This allows gracious spaces for groups to gather and many intimate locations for reading, reflecting, relaxing and quiet conversation.

SECOND: ITS POOL is unusually large for a vacation home in San Pancho. Not only that, but the pool was designed with families in mind. There is a large step where infants can splash in very shallow water -- a couple inches deep. There is a bench that wraps around the pool and is a delight to toddlers who can walk around and jump into their parents' arms. There is also a raised terrace which is perfect for older children to fly into the pool with masterful spins and loops. They land in water that is less than five feet deep. Right next to the family pool is a HOT TUB where the jumpers can go to keep their muscles warm for the next performance! Also Casita Celestial has a PALAPA with its own dipping pool. All three pools can be heated for your comfort.

THIRD: ITS LOCATION. It's in the jungle, which has been tamed by a master gardener to create a botanical wonder and a home for exotic birds and native wildlife.

FOURTH: ITS GRACIOUSNESS AND AMENITIES. Each of the three kitchens has top-of-the-line appliances. All the bedrooms have king sized beds with excellent mattresses. The furniture throughout is tastefully chosen. The two televisions are large-screen, high definition with programming beamed in from Canada (and cities just across the border -- Detroit in the east, Spokane and Seattle in the west). Wi-fi connection throughout. Pool toys. Firepit to SAFELY enjoy a campfire. Hammock. Three grills. Two cribs. Two high chairs. Children’s furniture. Full-time staff. Knowledgable, helpful, local, bi-lingual house managers. Chefs, massage therapists, baby sitters available.

FINALLY, THE DISTINCTIVE CHARACTER OF EACH OF THE THREE HOUSES:

HOUSE ONE: 3 BR (king) 4 BA - Sleeps 6

On the top of the hill, at street level is the main floor of the Big House, where you will find the spacious living room, dining room, kitchen (laundry and pantry), family room and guest bath. All of these rooms are essentially interconnected in one great open space. They have fabulous views of the jungle, beach and ocean. The kitchen and family room are air-conditioned.

Going UP the magnificent spiral staircase, you come to the Upper Terrace and the Master Suite with its luxurious marble bath and private sunning deck. Several of our guests have remarked that the master bath reminded them of a high-end spa.

Going DOWN the spiral staircase from the main floor you come to the bedroom floor with two large bedroom suites. One has a fabulous jungle and garden view and boasts a sitting area and dual showers; the other has a large terrace overlooking the ocean.

HOUSE TWO: 1 BR (king) 1BR (bunk), 1 BA - Sleeps 4

If you go DOWN one more flight of stairs you come to the pool deck. It is also from this level that you enter EL NIDO DE LA TORTUGA (The Nest of the Turtle), which is a completely contained home with about 900 square feet nestled under the “mother house.” The NIDO has its own kitchen, a sitting area, and is four steps from the large pool.

HOUSE THREE: 2 BR (both king suites) and 2 BA - Sleeps 4

If you go DOWN one more flight of stairs you come to the charming CASITA CELESTIAL (The Heavenly Little House) with its two bedroom suites, one celebrating the sun and the other celebrating the moon, a complete kitchen, a sitting area with its own television and DVD player. Also the CASITA has a PALAPA with a dipping pool that stays cool year around, except in the winter, when it can be heated.

Each of the three houses can be rented alone, but the entire villa is perfect for families and friends who are seeking a safe, luxurious, accommodating and beautiful vacation home.

Keywords: Villa with 3 Complete Homes, 7 Bedrooms, 8 Baths, stunning Ocean Views, 3 Heated Pools, easy walk to San Pancho Beach! Perfect for Celebrations, Reunions, Large or Small Gatherings.

A note from Melissa and Bill Roberts: Even though you will have four marvelous hosts in our San Pancho staff, we want to take a moment and introduce ourselves to you.

We have lived most of our adult life in Middletown, Connecticut, where Melissa was a school social worker and Bill was a clergyman for the first half of his career and a consultant for the second half. In the 1970s we built a home on Cape Cod for our family -- we have three sons.

The Cape House was very important to our family, but as the boys grew up and moved away and had children of their own, we decided to sell that house and built a three-home complex in San Pancho, which is just perfect for our family and our hosting friends and renters.

Melissa Roberts purchased this villa in 2009

In 2006 two of our sons went on a surfing-scouting trip to the west coast of Mexico, found their way to San Pancho, and immediately fell in love with the town and the beach. A month later we rearranged some travel plans and went to check it out for ourselves. Well, we also loved the place. The Mexicans were very friendly and also very proud of their charming little town.

The Americans and Canadians we met seemed to respect the culture and value their relationships with the residents whose families, in some cases, had lived in San Pancho for over a hundred years. It seemed that this would be an ideal place to build a home for generations of our family.

We purchased this particular property with the hopes, just the hopes, that we might have a pretty good view of the ocean. As the construction progressed it became clearer and clearer that we would have not only 'a pretty good view,' but SPECTACULAR VIEWS of the ocean, the beach, the town (San Pancho), Sayulita in the distance, and, equally stunning, fantastic views of the jungle....from many different locations on the property. Although we originally called our home La Casa Que Canta, because it seemed to sing with the profundo of the ocean surf, the rustling of the palm leaves, and the chirping of the birds, we have renamed it the VILLA DE VISTAS -- the Villa of Views.

As you will see the property presented some challenges since it goes sharply downhill, but Melissa (with partial assistance from three different architects) was able to change those challenges into opportunities, which allows us to have three separate homes in very close proximity to one another.

The unique benefit of renting the entire villa is that you have a lot of space in a secluded, secure, quiet setting.....with comfortably large areas for gatherings of many people......and lots of places for intimate conversations among just a few people....or just to rest and relax by yourself.

THREE FEATURES THAT YOU WILL JUST LOVE:

First, the pool, which has become the primary gathering place, is designed so children of all ages -- from infants to grandparents -- can feel safe as they play together. Infants can sit in a few inches of water and splash away. Toddlers can run around the benches and jump of the ledge. Adults can feel assured that their children are safe. Not only that, but the pool is heated in the winter, cooled by the rains and shade of the palm trees in the summer. And not only THAT, but there is a Jacuzzi right nearby.

Second, the VILLA DE VISTAS has a fire pit on the path along side of the CASITA CELESTIAL. It's a great place to light a little campfire, toast up s'mores, sing a song, tell a tale, and just reflect on the day, or the week or life itself. The palm trees which have been there for what seems like forever and the stars above put a little perspective on our human existence.

Finally, Melissa is a master gardener. Her garden in Connecticut is a showpiece. As soon as she concluded the oversight of the construction project, she turned her attention to the creation of an lush, tropical garden. She found native plants which are very happy in her garden.

Spacious beautiful home(s) with easy access to the beach

  • 5 of 5
We stayed here with our extended family (4 sets of adults, 2 sets of kids) for 4 days prior to attending a family wedding in Puerto Vallarta. The house is impeccability laid out for multi-family living, but also with a high level of privacy for individual bedrooms/casitas: credit to the architect for that vision. The swimming pool is magnificent and was the primary focus for all the kids (and parents) in our entourage. There are pool toys in the storage room next to the pool. The home is set far back on a remote road - it helps to have a 4WD - although we navigated it (bumpily) using a 2WD VW Jetta. No big deal.

The decor, artwork, furnishings are fantastic, and the large, spacious kitchen had everything we needed for cooking for our large group. The entertainment system was helpful to keep the kids occupied (there were some DVDs in the home) in the evenings while the adults ate and relaxed on the balconies. You can tell that the owners take great pride in their home. The house manager was a great local resource for San Pancho and helped out with organizing fishing trips, etc. The house staff were very unobtrusive but very helpful when we needed taxis for trips or assistance of any kind. The home is about a 20 minute walk from the pueblo of San Pancho which can be a long time in the hottest (middle) part of day, especially with kids (hint: get your kids to take siestas!). The owners are very up front about this (and everything else about life here) in their Help Documents which are comprehensive and easy to read.

The pathway through the jungle to the beach is a fun adventure for the kids. It is pretty steep, but manageable. The San Pancho beach is no joke - strong waves and currents - so we tended to stay around the pool, although we did venture down to the ocean for shell hunting, sand castle making, etc.

This was our second trip to San Pancho, but the first bringing our (older) extended family with us. I am very glad we chose this property, as it was really a home-away-from-home for those in our party whose comfort zone was more US-centric and who were slightly apprehensive about visiting Mexico. For the rest of us who love everything about Mexico we were happy to see how the owners have incorporated local art and architecture into their home. Highly recommended to everyone. Thank you!

Magnificent Experience at Villa de Vistas

  • 5 of 5
My fiancé and I rented the entire Villa de Vistas for family members to stay at during our wedding weekend. Since we had only seen pictures of the property we were sure that it wouldn’t be as spectacular. However the property exceeded our expectations and was everything plus more that was described by the owners. It offered a very spacious area for our entire group to gather. I recommend the property to anyone looking for a magnificent property with a spectacular view. San Pancho is a location we will continue to visit for years to come.

Family vacation

  • 5 of 5
Bob and Melissa,

We all wanted to thank you for opening your house to us. The house is unlike any other we have rented before and will unlikely ever have the opportunity to stay in again (until we come back). For the first time ever, we were on a vacation in a foreign country that felt like home. None of us wanted to return to the states, which is rare after being away from home for a week.
Let me start with this, the house staff were both friendly and accommodating. They did an excellent job of not making us feel intruded on, and at the same time, were efficient and professional (a quality not always found abroad).
The house itself is unbelievable. The attention to detail is superb. Kudos to Melissa for all of her hard work and organizational skills during the build. The photo albums and book were an excellent touch and helped make us all feel that much more at home. We have already given your info to several other members of our family and friends. A return trip for all of us is already being tossed about.
Bob (the House Manager) hooked us up with a local fisherman (Pando) and we had a fishing trip that was awesome! 6 hours, and we fished until we were almost tired of fishing. I think we caught about 250 lbs of various fish including a 22lb Dorado. Needless to say, we grilled that back at the villa and reveled in the freshness of the days catch.
I would highly recommend your property to any and all!

Perfection!

  • 5 of 5
We recently stayed at Villa de Vistas with 6 adults and 7 children under the age of 8. This was the perfect getaway location and the house exceeded every expectation we had of it. The view, breezes coming off the ocean and the jungle feeling all combine to creat an incredible experience. In addition the pool (one of the best in town) was always in use by our kids. They loved it. The owners Bill and Mellisa (and their son David) were the most incredible hosts and were instrumental in our enjoyment by sharing their experiences and recomendations on restaurants, surfing and local activities. The town of San Pancho is a great combination of quiet and casual mixed with a number of fantastic restaurants and friendly locals. Our personal security was never once a concern and settling in takes a matter of minutes. I would highly recommend this rental location and would undoubtedly return again.

A little slice of heaven!

  • 5 of 5
WOW! After one of the most idyllic and dreamy vacations, I had to hit the ground running back at work. Only now have I had the chance to finally take a deep breath to reflect and revel in the afterglow of a truly magical week in San Pancho. Thank you for helping make my 40th birthday a truly memorable and outstanding one!

When I spoke with you prior to our vacation, I could almost sense you lighting up as you told us about your home. Now I can more fully appreciate why you brighten whenever you think of it. Your thoughtfulness, love, and attention to detail is so evident in every room of the house that I almost felt you were actually there with us! You’ve created your own little heaven, and we feel so fortunate to have shared a little piece of it.

We traveled with three other families, spanning three generations and seven decades. We spread out and took advantage of both the big house and casita which were accommodating and comfortable for all. There was plenty of space to get away and curl up with a good book in the hammock or one of the decks, as well as many common areas to get together to enjoy each other's company. The views from every room are spectacular, and although sunny every day, a couple of nights we were treated to a wonderful light show of fireflies and lightening. On two occassions we had a crew come in and make dinner - a wonderful taste of local cuisine (rivaled only by the fresh fish tacos my husband made from the bounty of his spearfishing trips!). San Pancho and surrounding environs provided a little something for everyone - surfing, snorkling, horseback riding, stand up paddling, relaxing on the beach, hiking... The town itself is small, clean and quaint with a handful of little galleries and great restaurants.

We left a little something for you – a guitar. We saw it in a store in San Pancho, but every time we stopped by it was closed. Ultimately a woman at the market next door told us where the owner lived, and after a short walk through town (and past an enormous black bull tied up in her front yard) we found her home. Without a second thought, she simply handed us the keys to her shop, and graciously sent us off to pick out a guitar on our own. We wanted to leave behind some music for the Casa Que Canta, so please enjoy it, knowing that it comes not only with our thanks and appreciation, but it's also infused with the warmth, trust and goodwill of San Pancho.

My wife and I spent a fantastic week at the Casa with 7 other fraternity brothers and their spouses. The complex is stunningly beautiful with sweeping ocean views and vivid colorful art throughout. Walking to the beach was easy and the town of San Pancho has many delightful and delicious Mexican restaurants. The locals in the town and those who worked at the Casa were all very friendly and knowledgable. We enjoyed the pool, polo match, and bird watching walk and the weather was perfect. Highly higly recommended.

THE BEAUTIFUL SAN PANCHO BEACH IS A FIVE-MINUTE WALK AWAY.

We have recently created a path through a lush tropical garden down to Calle Palmas. It takes about two minutes to walk down the pathway. It then takes another three minutes to walk to the beach. In addition to being extremely functional, the pathway puts you up close and personal with native plants, exotic birds and beautiful butterflies.
