The 44 sqm apartment, next to the Acropolis Museum, is just a walking distance from the Acropolis and the heart of Athens. The Acropolis Metro Station, only a few meters away, links it directly to both the Athens Airport and the Piraeus harbour and on to the greek islands. Thus there is no need for a car. It is fully furnished and has just been renovated by the architect owner.
The flat, on the elevated ground floor is fully secured and easily accessible. There is a comfortable double bed in the bedroom. The extra folding bed in the living room, available on request, makes it ideal for a couple and a child or a friend. The air conditioning makes the apartment very comfortable even through the hottest summer days and nights.
There is free internet WI-FI access.
The flat is equipped with a washing/drying machine. An automatic laundry service is also right opposite. Access to the beach is very easy with tram or bus. Coffee shops, news stands, restaurants and bars around the Acropolis and the tavernas of old Plaka are all at a walking distance. The Acropolis Museum also offers great views to the Acropolis from its beautiful and economic roof terrace Restaurant and Cafeteria. There are many events taking place both in the Museum and in the lively and safe neighbourhood.
The National Garden, the Panathinaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games were held in 1896, Zappeion, the House of Parliament and many other archaeological sites are all at a walking distance. It is also a great experience walking down the Ermou Street shops and to the Monastiraki Flea Market.

This apartment was superbly located just a minutes walk from Acropoli metro station, a short walk to all the sights, bars and restaurants. Although it is in the middle of everything, the windows face on to a quiet side street so there was no problem with noise and we slept very well both nights we were there. The apartment is spotless with a well-equipped kitchen and lovely big bathroom and comfy bed. Our host Nikos was great, he came to meet us at the metro and gave us loads of useful information and tips about the area. We had a fantastic time in Athens and would definitely stay here again. Everything was perfect!
This one bedroom apartment is just around the corner from the new Acropolis Museum and walking distance to many of the historical sights in Athens. There are lots of reasonably priced restaurants nearby including a little fish place right across the street that was really good. There is also a laundromat next to the fish place if you need to wash that dirty laundry! The apartment itself is impeccably clean and nicely furnished. The kitchen has everything you need to fix a snack or a complete meal. There were three adults in our party and we were very comfortable. There is a king size bed in the bedroom and a foldout bed was provided in the living room. The owner, Nikos, is very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a centrally located place to stay in Athens.
Great location, very comfortable accommodations, and Nikos is the perfect host. Very good value for all you get with this rental.
This apartment is a great space in a wonderful location. Everything is at your doorstep, Acropolis, museum, restaurants, underground, and we could walk pretty much to everything. We didn't eat in, but kitchen seemed well equipped. Suitable for singles or a couple. We found it noisy at night, however, there was football/soccer finals going on and our last night you could have heard a pin drop. So perhaps bring earplugs, just in case. I think it would be quiet normally, just our timing. Nikos was wonderful and gave us lots of information. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thanks again.
Nikos´ apartment could not be a better location. It is 2-3 minutes from the gates of the Acropolis park (and the metro station) and the excellent Acropolis Museum. That means it is also near a large pedestrian promenade that runs along the foot of the Acropolis, which is useful for navigating the city. In this area there is also a string of restaurants that, while somewhat touristy, had good food at reasonable prices. Nikos told us which was his favourite and we had a good experience there. He works right around the corner and knows the neighbourhood well.
Across the street from the apartment there are some amenities: a laundromat and a couple of decent bars, and further along a grocery store and bakery.
Despite the apartment´s proximity to sites, the street it is on is quiet and felt quite safe, even late at night.
The apartment is comfortable and the AC works well (which is important in Athens). The kitchen was convenient.
Nikos was friendly and very prompt in responding to email. He gave us his cell phone number and encouraged us to call him at any time if we had a question or a problem arose. He took the time to give us an orientation to the neighborhood and recommend a few less-visited destinations (like the neighbourhood of Gazi).
Thanks for a great stay!
The apartment is very well located, right near Acropolis museum. We walked to almost everything. Should especially mention Nikos - our host - who shaped our first time in Athens with his great advice, during the entire stay. Thank you, it was wonderful!
Koukaki, the neighborhood on the south slope of the Acropolis is an old area with a history of thousands of years. The new Acropolis Museum designed by architect Bernard Tschumi has brought new life the area. The pedestrianized street network around the Acropolis with its small cafes and shops is the meeting point for both Athenians and visitors from all over the world. The Acropolis on the one side and the 'listed' historic neoclassical buildings on the other, make Dionysiou Areopagitou Str one of the finest promenades in the world. The old traditional area of Plaka, only a few blocks away, is a unique place to visit, not only for its traditional architecture, the archaeological sites and the museums, but also for its tavernas and the amazing nightlife. The Acropolis metro station provides quick access to other areas including the Athens International Airport, the Port of Piraeus and the Railway Station. The House of Parliament, the National Garden etc are only a small walk away.
