The interior has recently undergone a complete professional renovation including custom millwork/cabinets, wood floors, granite counter tops and brand new designer furnishings/artwork.
Privacy guaranteed with uninterrupted and ever changing views to the Olympic Mountains, Beacon Hill Park, Christ Church Cathedral, Craigdarroch Castle, Government House, Law Courts, Strait of Juan de Fuca, Mt. Baker and overtop the city. You will witness spectacular sun and moon rises that will take your breath away.
Located just 2-5 minute walks from major entertainment, Royal B.C Museum/Imax, Empress Hotel/Convention Centre, Parliament Buildings, Beacon Hill Park/Petting Zoo, World class European Spas and many other sightseeing venues provided by the city of Victoria. Enjoy peaceful evening walks through Beacon Hill Park and along the Dallas Road waterfront or take in the many festivities occurring along the world famous Inner Harbour during the summer months. Our convenient location offers you many dining choices from fine dining to dining al fresco at one of the many wharfside eateries.
Walk to the Inner Harbour and jump on a float plane to downtown Vancouver; ride one of the small Harbour Ferries to stops along the Gorge Waterway; hop on one of the two ferries to Washington State. The Helijet terminal is only a 5 min. taxi ride away. Cycle the Galloping Goose Trail, built on the foundation of the old railway line and meanders for miles. Golfing is year round in Victoria with courses reputed to be the most challenging on the island.
Both my husband and I were born and raised in Victoria. We have lived on the outskirts of town for the past 25 years while raising our family, and have recently bought the condo for our use during the winter months with the purpose of experiencing the city life once again. The suite has been recently upgraded and fully outfitted to provide all the conveniences of home. We would be very happy to share our local knowledge ensuring that your Victoria experience captures the magic of our city. We are both avid golfers belonging to one of the local clubs and would be delighted to help facilitate a day on the links to suit your game.
Kathryn Ilott purchased this condo in 2009
After much consideration we determined that the Humboldt Valley had rightfully earned its status as the 'hub' of the city allowing for easy access to all amenities and attractions. We very much enjoy the closeness of movie theatres, playhouses, restaurants, and museums. The inner harbour and waterfront are easy walks and ensures that we get our daily exercise after a hectic day. It is a very safe and quiet area.
Birds eye view of city and beyond. Within walking distance to numerous and varying eating establishments.
Stayed for 8 nights while my son was at the Victoria Royals training camp. I would not hesitate to stay here next time we come to Victoria. Everything is as advertised. Very comfortable and quiet. The view is amazing. Only thing missing from this suite is AC. It was 26-29c all week....but very minor because it cooled down at night.
We were close to everything. Just a short drive or walk.
The most advertised feature of this condo was the view and it was no disappointment. We found the owner very accommodating to our schedule and quick to answer any ?'s that came up. The location was excellent, putting us at the heart of the marine, and walking distance to downtown.
I will be recommending this place to friends and family.
My wife and I spent a wonderful four months in this apartment - escaping the eastern winter from December 1 till March 31. It really couldn't have been better. We had lots of visitors stay with us over the winter and they all raved about it to.
Situated just behind the Empress Hotel, it is close to everything - the museum, the harbour, several live performance theatres and too many wonderful restaurants to mention. The views were spectacular on clear days (of which there were many), with Mount Baker very visible, covered in white snow. And, the Olympic mountains are seen from the spare bedroom.
All in all, we had a great stay and will likely return foe another time quite soon.
We stayed in this lovely condo for seven weeks. We enjoyed the tasteful and comfortable contemporary decor. The kitchen is very attractive, well appointed and fun to cook in. The views of the city, the mountains and the water, from this 20th floor unit are spectacular. The building is well maintained and we enjoyed the use of its exercise room.
The unit's location could not have been better regarding all the most popular tourist destinations and restaurants- all within a few minutes walk.
The owner was very pleasant to deal with.
We truly loved our stay in this condo in beautiful Victoria and we would certainly come back.
We were 2 adult couples in Victoria for a university graduation. We rented this condo rather than staying in a hotel as we thought it was 2 BEDS - king & queen. The 2nd bedroom is actually equipped with a pullout couch rather than an actual queen bed. The room is quite small, so I understand the need to install something a little more compact in that space, but we found the pullout wasn't as comfortable as a regular bed. This condo would be ideal for one couple with a single teenager or even 2 small children.
Also, we travelled from Alberta & the interior of BC. Thus, we had 2 vehicles. My error here - I neglected to follow up on my question about parking for 2 cars. A 2nd vehicle in the downtown area of Victoria is a virtual nightmare! We had to keep plugging money or credit cards into the meters every 2 hours to ensure we didn't incur a $150 ticket. Parking in the area is free after 6 PM until 9 AM & all day Sunday, but you are still metered during the week day.
All that being said, the condo is very nice with spectacular views. Easy walking distance to almost any tourist attraction in the downtown core, and surrounded by fabulous restaurants & coffee spots. The owners are very friendly & helpful, and responded quickly to any questions or concerns I had. I'd recommend this property to friends not travelling with other friends, or those folks travelling with a single teen / adult or 1 - 2 young children.
This beautiful condo is simply luxurious and in a superb location - everything is in walking distance and very close to the Inner Harbor. The condo is extremely well furnished, the beds are excellent, the bathrooms very well done (the showers heads are great) and the owners attention to detail makes it feel like you are staying in your own home. There were 4 of us staying here, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was extremely well set up, and the standard of the equipment in the kitchen was incredible - the knife set was brilliant! The laundry set-up was the best washing machine and dryer that we experienced in our trip! However, it was the little touches that meant such a lot - the lovely hand scrub and body cream and soaps in the bathroom were a delightful touch. Another lovely touch was the ipod and speakers loaded with great music. We were all very sad to leave this delightful condo - and if (and when) we return to Victoria, we definitely intend to stay here again - but next time for much longer!
