Notes: Children are very welcome but parents should be advised that there are a few things about the design of the house that make it unsafe for unsupervised children less than 5 years old. Please ask about these potential problems. The living room fireplace is not a working fireplace—it's not needed for heat—there is a programmable and very efficient forced-air central heating system. We are a TV free retreat and 99% of our guests welcome this relief. We do have a wireless DSL Internet connection and most guests bring laptops and can download films if they wish to see a movie. Nearly all the lighting in the house is dimmable for a soothing after dark ambiance.

Beautiful and hidden Bolinas cottage

We couldn't have been happier to have found this cottage! Everything from the views on the front deck and the master bedroom to the artwork, deep soaking tub, and gorgeous back garden was so well designed in the most understated kind of way and charming. Everything was perfectly clean when we arrived, the property manager was incredilby helpful (he even mailed something back to me I'd forgotten), and we immediately felt at home. The pictures don't quite do the place justice--you have to visit to undertand how charming it is!

We walked to the beach and town daily, went surfing right out the front door, and for a sunset hike a few miles down the road along another beach. Enjoyed delicious crabs from Don the crab man in town for dinner at home. None of us wanted to leave and we can't wait to come back. I would recommend this place in an instant to anyone.
