Beautiful secluded ocean side getaway. Quiet, peaceful... in the trees with the ocean sounds and smells surrounding. Nestled among sea pines and large rhododendrens, this beach house has been totally renovated inside and out. Lots of large windows, an open floor plan and laminate flooring make this luxury property light and comfortable. Custom tile graces the kitchen counters and three baths. 2.5 bedrooms, 3 baths make this cozy, yet comfortable. The wrap-around ground floor deck can be accessed from a queen bedroom and the living area. Upstairs a second story deck off the master bedroom affords a partial ocean view with your morning coffee. A private beach trail through the pines and over the dune grass allows you access to the beach. Whether a romantic getaway for two, or the kids coming to the beach, it is the perfect size. Wood stove down stairs warms the house on the cool winter nights. This home has all the luxury, seclusion and privacy for the perfect beach getaway all year round. Quiet, cozy, comfort... in style.
I love coming to the beach and wanted to have a place of my own I could come to anytime. Klipsan Beach is still secluded and I enjoy the peace and quiet. I'm happy to share it with people that love the outdoors and appreciate all it has to offer.
I love the fact that the house is in the trees, but still sits near the ocean. It is quiet and peaceful, yet full of energy from the local birds and critters that visit from time to time. I like walking through the dunes to watch a beautiful sunset on the wide open beach. Every day is a different view.
The home is very large and warm.
Nice walk to the ocean. We saw a big buck deer in the yard when we arrived!
We came to enter our 1957 BelAir Wagon in the Rod Run. It was nice to come back to the home to relax.
One thing I would suggest is to put a hair dryer in one of the bathrooms. I have bad knees and I had to kneel on the floor to dry my hair in front of the wall heater. This is the first place I have stayed that did not have one.
We took a nice walk to the beach through the pine trees just before sunset. What a beautiful view.
This is a great family home to stay at.

This is a lovely house, and we had a wonderful five days here. The interior was charming and spotless, with great appliances, beautiful furniture and a fantastic sound system; we so enjoyed spending time cooking and hanging out that we never felt the need to go out to dinner. The large windows let in a great deal of light, and all the beautiful vegetation on the property gave the rooms on both floors a wonderful treehouse feel. We would definitely return.
However, potential renters should know that there is absolutely no ocean view from anywhere in or outside of the house. Access to the beach is easy, via an approximately quarter-mile path leading from the adjacent cul-de-sac. But all you see from the house is trees -- a lovely landscape to be sure, but not the ocean view that's advertised. I should add that we were there during consistently cloudy weather; perhaps on a completely clear day the ocean could be made out in the far distance over the trees, but it seems unlikely.
With that caveat, however, we'd definitely recommend this house to others.
3 friends & I volunteered for the Washington Coast Beach cleanup and decided to rent a house which we hadn't done before. Usually it's motels or condos which usually means renting a minimum of 2 units for 4 women. Two of us found this house online and thought it looked really good & the price was right when split 4 ways. We booked 2 nights & checked in on a Friday. The pictures of the interior of this house don't do it justice. We were really pleased and loved the house and its many amenities. The hike to the beach directly from the back of the house is a little long but certainly doable. We just walked out to the main road and up a block to the main entrance road to Klipsan Beach where were volunteering on Saturday.
If the opportunity comes up for another trip to the Long Beach Peninsula I would definitely like to rent this house again. It is such a nice place.
I stayed with my husband and mother and were pleasantly surprised at the beauty of this house and its surrounding location. Very peaceful and quiet. The photos do not do it justice. It was immaculately cleaned and extremely comfortable. The beds and couches were a delight to sit/sleep on. The landscaping had an "overgrown cottage" feel to it, which added to the delightful, secluded feel of the property. (It was only a problem when it came to parking... which was a little tricky, even with our tiny car.) The house was packed with plenty of extra blankets and pillows and contained almost any amenity you would need.
My only complaint is that the flight of stairs leading up to the front door are constructed of uneven stone, are moss covered (even vine-covered in some areas), and can be downright dangerous in the rain if you're not very careful. So please step carefully and take it slowly. :) Also, there was an additional $60 cleaning fee, which is not mentioned on the Rate Details section of this site (although other properties mention this fee upfront on their respective VRBO pages.) This detail was, however, verbally mentioned by the Property Manager prior to booking.
Overall, highly recommended. We'd love to stay again.
We came to Klipsan hideaway to spend a birthday weekend with our friend and wished we had made our reservations for one more day! The house has been remodeled well and has every amenity one could need...yay for the crab cracker! It was clean, neat and enough space for everyone. If someone is looking for a peaceful getaway with a gorgeous beach only a brief walk away, this is the place! The journals are a nice edition and while we conjoured up some amazing tales to add to others, we decided to save our thoughts for next time! And yes, there will be a next time! Thank you Klipsan Hideaway Owners!
My husband and I, along with my mother and brother had such a relaxing time together last week (Sept 2011). Upon arriving we felt relaxed and comfortable, and I was so pleased that the photos depicted the property perfectly!!! The beds were very good and the property was clean and neat. We especially loved the setting with the windows and decking all surrounded by greenery and trees. We also loved that we could open windows at night and fall asleep listening to the waves crashing in the distance.
I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who wants to be near the water and to be secluded in trees too! A fantastic combination!
