Looking for a small, comfortable home away from home? We offer great value and price. This is a thoughtfully-appointed vacation rental with a central location in a moderate neighborhood. Furnished cozily, it's modern, tasteful and inviting. Sandstone Condominiums fall on the outlying borders of the beautiful, historic Arcadia district. Just minutes away from Old Town Scottsdale, numerous golf courses and easy access to all of the major freeways. (101,10, 202, 51, 17). There is a grassy, open common area with mature trees and a sparkling pool that makes you forget you are in the heart of the city. Wireless internet, cable/dvd and printer/scanner included.

About the neighborhood: About the neighborhood: Our home is located in Arcadia, a subdivision of the metro Phoenix area. According to Wikipedia: The Arcadia vicinity encompasses the Camelback East urban village of Phoenix, and is entirely contained in this area. The boundaries of this village encompass opposite socioeconomic backgrounds, with lower-income neighborhoods located in the southern part and affluent neighborhoods located in the northern (and especially northeastern) part. The southern half of the neighborhood (generally south of Camelback Road and/or the Arizona Canal is generally lower-income. The upper section, including the green Arcadia district is quite affluent and well-maintained.' We are exactly 1.5 miles south of Camelback road, and 3 miles from the base of Camelback mountain, and six blocks from the Arizona canal.

Notes: This is a vintage condominium community, built in the late 1960s with only twelve units total. It is intimate, friendly and welcoming. They are single level and you share no common walls, making it very quiet. There are no stairs, but I don't believe the doorways are wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs. We do have a stackable washer and dryer included; there is also a coin laundry on-site just three units down. A couple of odd and ends to note: We do not provide a landline-phone (cellular/mobile phone reception is consistent and clear). We do have a DVD and sattelite TV. The pool is not heated. There is not a dishwasher.

The house offers very good value for your money! I came from germany lived there for 3 weeks and felt very well all the time. The owner is friendly and helpful. Very good I also liked the Internet flatrate.

my husband, myself and our two children were looking for a nice place to stay for our spring break in phoenix. this was perfect! the bed in the bedroom was extremely comfortable and the kids said the sofa bed was great, too. i loved that the owners provided bath soap, dish soap, napkins and laundry soap...we didn't need to go shopping for any of the basics. it was so handy to have a washer and dryer, too. the pool, like the 1 bedroom condo, was well maintained and my children had fun swimming...we didn''t see anyone else use the pool while we were there.my son was especially happy with the tv channels that he could watch his favorite teams in the evening. this was also a great location and close to many activities such as hiking and bowling. the owner provided excellent customer service, too. we will definitely stay there again when we visit the phoneix area and will recommend it to friends and family!

Enjoyed our stay

My wife, 14 yr old son and I spent a week in Phoenix during the World baseaball Championships and this location was Great. Easy access to Chase Field, as well as some Spring Training sites, shopping and restuarants. We also travelled one day to the Grand Canyon and had no problems getting there and back from this location. The condo was clean, well maintained, comfortable and we had everything that we needed. The only downfall was the couch that turns into a second bed,if we could make one suggestion it would be to replace it with a newer one as this one was not very comfortable. If there had only been two of us then it would not have been an issue but because there were three of us we needed to use it. Otherwise everything is as advertised and we would not hesitate to contact Tracy to stay again.

Great Condo

This is great condo. We stayed there when my wife had a conference in Phoenix. The price was great, it sure beats paying $150 a night for the conference hotel. The condo is clean, quiet and private. It has its own carport parking spot. The location was great as we could get to all the major road quick and easy. Close to shopping in Scottsdale too. We used the condo as a central base and traveled to Tuscon to the south and Flagstaff to the north on day trips.

We had the pleasure of renting this Arcadia condo. The condo was clean, comfortable and cute. It is close to the airport and very centrally located. The owner is very friendly and incredibly helpful. I would recommend this condo to anyone that is looking to stay in Phoenix.
