Loved our weekend stay at the Halsey House! Everything was clean, comfortable and so roomy by NYC standards. It was great to have a little 'home-base' where we could make our own breakfast and coffee before heading out to explore Manhattan. The subway is only a few blocks away and we used it to go everywhere! Also, enjoyed pizza at Saraghina's and a charming coffee & pastries stop at Georges-Andres Vintage Café! We would definitely stay here again.
My wife, our eleven year old son and I stayed here for a week. We had a great time here. The apartment is down to earth, roomy and clean. The kitchen has just about everything and makes it easy to fix a meal. Hanging out in the garden was pleasant. The neighborhood has a nice and friendly vibe to it. Conveniently located near minimarts and some nice restaurants (our favorite was 'Peaches'). The subway to Manhattan is a small walk away, it's actually a nice walk.
We found Alex & Lisa to be friendly and helpful and hope to stay here again some day.
We loved our stay at this apartment! It was very clean, fully equipped with everything that we needed, and a great location. The homeowners checked in with us to be sure that we were fine and needed anything additional. It was in a good location with corner grocery stores, laundry services, good restaurants, and close to the subway. This was our first time in NY and the location of rental made it very easy for us to get around. We were there on several rainy days and the apartment was cozy. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of toiletries and clean towels. We would not hesitate in renting this apartment again. We enjoyed our stay as well as meeting the owners. Picture is exactly what apartment looks like. Thanks for a great visit! We would give it the highest rating.
We arrived in June with only two of our 4 suitcases. Alex and Lisa helped us to get our luggage soon. They were really engaged. The flat was cute, clean. Lovely area around. Short time to Manhattan with the Metro. We think, we'll come back. Hopefully soon. Thanks Lisa and Alex.
Alles was man benötigt in der Nähe.
Alex & Liza were so nice and accommodating. They let us checked in early and also gave us a welcome gift. The apartment was kinda old but its clean, size is enough for a family with kids. Kitchen is big and fully equipped. Owners even provided us high chair and even offer books & toys if we need.
Apartment is so convenient. It takes about 10 mins walk to Utica station, A and C trains takes you to Manhattan.
Neighborhood were all nice! really far from our impression of New yorker. Its safe to walk even at night. Not much restaurant close by but there's bodega's on every corner to get what you need.
We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again next time:-)))
