With central heat, air conditioning, a wood burning living room fireplace, cathedral and vaulted ceilings with skylights and ceiling fans, light oak flooring, and abundant windows, sliders, and French Doors; enjoy the many comforts and conveniences with the splendor of nature all around. This unique and spacious home is beautifully furnished, decorated, and well-equipped, whether for a family adventure, a wine and food fandango, or a romantic getaway from it all, yet is only 5 minutes from charming, historic Healdsburg, the ‘crown jewel’ of Sonoma County wine country.
The outdoor amenities, special features, and activities available at this retreat are exceptional and include a bocce ball court with a covered seating area, large front lawn with a fountain, mature landscaping, a seasonal garden, a wonderful large cathedral ceilinged front porch with a ceiling fan, teak table seating 8+, 2 wicker chairs with cushions, side table, and an outdoor propane heater, soccer balls, and much more. The gorgeous back area is bordered by a seasonal creek among the redwoods, oaks, and pines, and features a HotSpring 6 person spa, outdoor shower, fire pit, covered back porch, a patio with outdoor table for 4, and stainless steel propane BBQ for your grilling pleasure.
Enter the Great Room of this stunning home from the lovely front porch, through the inviting half glass door and into the entry hallway, with a beautiful wrought iron chandelier to light your way. On your right, the warm and welcoming living room is spacious and graced with cathedral ceilings, skylights and fan, warm oak flooring, a romantic wood burning fireplace insert, a large sectional, and two chairs with an ottoman. The built-in entertainment center includes a 36” Sony Trinitron TV, Sony Surround sound system with additional speakers on the front porch and back patio, a 5 disc DVD/CD player, and HiFi VHS player, with games and books galore! Also part of the Great Room is a convenient large breakfast nook area with three large windows creating a ‘bay effect’, a round dining table for 6+, a large wall unit, and a lovely side serving table.
The beautiful and very well-equipped gourmet kitchen, sure to please the Chef, is open to the Great Room and has a spacious and airy feel with vaulted ceilings, a skylight; recessed, custom, and under-cabinet lighting, and a slider to the back porch, patio and creek beyond. Providing plenty of work space, a large butcher-block island is centered in the kitchen with abundant cabinetry and countertops, a large double sink with reverse osmosis filtered water, and a very convenient pass through to the formal dining room. The appliances are high-end and the ‘heart’ of the kitchen is a stainless steel Kenmore 4 burner gas range/oven; also provided are a built-in microwave oven, dishwasher, toaster oven, Cuisinart coffee maker and mini food processor, tea kettle, indoor and outdoor dishes, kitchen knives, flatware, and all the essentials, but for your vino and vittles.
Just to the left of the entry, the formal dining room awaits, again with warm oak flooring partially covered by a lovely area rug under a gorgeous dining set for 8, with recessed lighting, beautiful artwork and double French doors with draperies, opening to the front porch. First off the dining room is the study/fourth bedroom with queen sleeper sofa and desk, made private with glass window paned pocket doors and privacy curtains, and at the other side of the room, another slider with drapes to the back porch. Beyond the dining room is a wide hallway leading to the Master Suite, second bedroom, second full bath, indoor laundry area, and a half bath.
The comfy Master Suite (first bedroom) has a queen bed set with luscious linens and bedding, vaulted ceiling with ceiling fan, beautiful artwork, and two windows with custom window treatments. Spa inspired, the Master’s en suite bath features a deep soaking tub with tiled shower over, custom floral drapes and shower curtain, vanity, and a large ‘beautification station’. The second bedroom is child friendly with double bunk beds, one with a full-sized lower bed (suitable for adults), vaulted ceilings with skylight, and family and child related games.
Shared but with a private entry, the second full bath has a shower over tub, and is nicely appointed. The large indoor laundry room with sink, cabinets, a wall mounted ironing board with iron, and lots of counter space, is home to a Kenmore HE washer/dryer set and a half bath completes this part of the house. A private suite, with its own entry off the back porch, the third bedroom is a special retreat unto itself with a queen bed, Panasonic TV/VCR, small built-in fridge with cabinet over, louver-doored closet, 3 paned slider with privacy drapes, and great views of the beautiful back wooded area and creek. The en suite bath has a large tiled walk-in shower and vanity. The surrounding areas are also rich in opportunities for hiking, biking, golfing, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and adventures to the Redwood forests, beautiful Northern California coastline, and Lake Sonoma recreation area.
