Relax on the community private beach and walk to Siesta Key village

This “apartment” was old, filthy, and in much need of repair. We believed the dwelling had a first floor entrance, only to discover we had to climb 16 steps to the enter. The furniture was sparse, cheap, stained, and uncomfortable. The kitchen appliances were old and broken. Roach droppings were in the kitchen drawers that were lined with newspaper. It over looked a very busy and noisy road. The neighbor living under us was “crabby” and rude, and the pool unheated.
We spent the first week of our month long vacation dealing with the owner and Management Company to have it properly cleaned and made somewhat livable. We had nowhere else to go and the owner refused to refund our money even though we stated over and over that we wanted a full refund and would leave the premises immediately. We wish there had been reviews to read prior to our renting, as we never would have rented this sad place if there had been.

The entire experience was a joke.

This is a very tired and worn property and highly over-priced considering its condition. We are regular visitors to Siesta Key and have stayed in some wonderful properties that were also at good prices.

This property is extremely noisy. It is on the main road into Siesta Key and there is no fence or sound barrier from the road and no double-glazing in the property. Despite our initial enquiry stating specifically the need for the property to be quiet with no road noise. This was ignored.

The property is dirty and the bad odor hits you as soon as you walk in the door.
There are mice/roach droppings in the kitchen drawers.
There are roaches living / dead in the wardrobes.
The Internet is fast (the only plus point) but not free. They will provide you with a password for $30.

The ‘Beach’ depicted in the photo’s is not accessible for Sandy Cove 3 guests. Only ‘The Pier’ is accessible and this is tiny.

Overall very clever and misleading photography at work for this property ?!

On the whole avoid this property and the unhelpful rental company. Looking at the other reviews (which weren’t there when we booked for some reason!), so many people have been disappointed and misled here ?. We have learnt to never book a property that has no review, it may have been relisted simply to remove the negative ones!
