The Old Village is the ultimate rental location for visiting Charleston. Centrally located, no traffic, quiet residential area, close to beaches and nice restaurants.

We stayed in this house for 5 nights the first week of October, 2014. The house was exactly as promoted and completely met our needs. Everything was clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. The location was ideal as our base for seeing all that Charleston has to offer. Most importantly, the owner was responsive, professional and contacted us to make sure we arrived safely and everything was as expected. We would most definitely request this property next time in Charleston! I cannot credit the owner, but 75 - 85 degrees and sunny everyday also really helped us enjoy the area!
I live in Mount P and rented this house so my family could come visit and have a nice "home base" instead of boring hotel rooms. This is a great location for a fair price, and has everything you need to enjoy your visit to the Charleston area. The old village is so convenient - you can easily get to the beaches, all the restaurants on Coleman, or downtown. Jill was great to work with and always quick to respond to my inquiries.
I was a resident of Mount Pleasant for a couple of years (actually just a block or two from this house) so I know the quality of the location. For the price this place is an incredible value! Extremely close to Sullivan's Island (probably one of the best beaches in the area) and walking distance to restaurants, bars, grocery stores etc. etc. The house is incredibly spacious and can comfortably sleep 3 couples. I might also add that it was extremely clean and was fully kitted out with everything I needed for my stay.
The Old Village neighborhood is THE best in Mount Pleasant in my opinion as it has everything you need at arms length, including downtown Charleston within 15-20 minutes even with heavy traffic.
Last but not least, Jill, the owner, was extremely accommodating and even arranged to have a travel bed set up for our young daughter prior to our arrival. Not only that she also sent us back some items that we accidentally left behind.
I cannot say enough about both Jill and this incredible rental property. I would absolutely recommend it, and have done to friends that I still know in the Charleston area, some of whom live just around the corner. Whenever I next visit I just hope that it is still available for a vacation rental.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house, which is convenient to all the sights in the Charleston area. The house is in a nice quiet neighborhood, and we felt very safe. The screened in porch and BBQ grill were great for outdoor dining. The beds were comfortable, and the house was very clean. The owner was wonderful and very prompt with communication. We would love to stay in this house again!
We had a great stay at this Mount Pleasant home. It is conveniently located relative to Sullivan's Island and downtown Charleston, and it is well appointed with everything needed for a family of four. We had great communication from the owner, both leading up to and during our visit, and we were grateful for the space and flexibility that the home provided. It is close to several restaurants, grocery stores, cafes, and major roadways. We will most certainly consider it for future stays!
Very clean, good location for visting the Charleston area. Close to everything--downtown and the beaches, easy to get to. We found it to be a great place to have as a base. Kitchen has everything you need, was comfortable place to come back to in evenings. Owner very pleasant and responsive to deal with. Highly recommended, would definitely rent again.
House comes with three bikes, for riding on the beach, through the Old Village, or downtown Charleston. There are several restaurants accessible by bicycle or walking to go for lunch or afternoon drinks on Shem Creek. There is a nice playground within 0.5 miles of the house.
