Welcome to Doc’s Folly, our inviting 4 bedroom, 3 bath beach home, located in the swim/tennis community of Morgantown. You’ll enjoy waking up to the view of the gulf from 2 of the 4 bedrooms, which also have balcony access.
The comfortable furnishings in the living area are sure to delight, and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare simple meals. Doc’s Folly can accommodate up to 10 guests in 1 King, 3 Queens and 1 sleeper sofa. Other amenities include satellite TV, wireless internet, a washer and dryer and an outdoor shower.
We’re close to one of two pools and just a short walk to the boardwalk to the beach.
Located off Ft. Morgan Road in Gulf Shores, the exclusive community of Morgantown features two swimming pools and two tennis courts and has the only pet friendly beach in Gulf Shores.
You will enjoy a quiet beach getaway with all the conveniences of city life just minutes away. Gulf Shores is known for its beautiful white sandy beaches, warm sunshine, excellent golf, restaurants, shopping, and family-friendly activities. Morgantown is just a short drive to all Gulf Shores restaurants, shops, entertainment, and golf courses. The Tanger Outlet mall in Foley is a favorite for shoppers. Kiva Dunes and the Peninsula Golf Clubs are must play courses for the golfers in the group. Be sure to check out the the Gulf Shores Zoo, Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge and historic Fort Morgan. Or take a day trip to Dauphin Island’s Estuarium, the Pensacola Naval Air Museum, Bellingrath Gardens, or to see the Alabama. Doc's Folly is located at 6084 Sawgrass Circle, Gulf Shores, AL 36542. Prices include everything except lodgings tax, a house cleaning fee of $175 and a linen charge ($25/bedroom and $10/bathroom) - which includes all your linens, bath towels, and starter amenities, to include: toilet paper, paper towels and even little soaps and shampoos. There is also a small amount of laundry detergent and dish washer soap.

I started RelaxontheBeach in 2004 because I knew that the vacation rental/property management business in Gulf Shores needed a complete overhaul. I purchased my first beach house in the early 2000's and immediately listed it with one of the larger property management firms in town. While I was thrilled that the house rented as well as it did, I was not happy with the draconian commission structure, poor cleaning standards, and slipshod maintenance.
I began to advertise and manage my property on my own and I doubled rental revenue in the first 24 months of owning the property.
Neighbors took note. I received phone calls. I received emails. How in the world, they wondered, was I able to generate so much traffic? Every weekend there was a car in my driveway. 'Simple' I said, 'treat every customer like family.'
The personal touch makes all the difference. Our potential guests are personally greeted by a knowledgeable representative. Our quality control director takes pride in the condition of all of our properties and ensures that our thorough cleanliness standards are met. We have a full maintenance department that does its best to address any maintenance concerns quickly.

We were very pleased. Relax on the Beach team were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Website is easy to navigate and full of helpful information! Will absolutely vacation again in a RelaxontheBeach home! Recommendations for Future Guests: Mikkee's was great. We went back twice because of the food and service.
Had a great family stay in the house. Loved the neighborhood, the beach, and that it wasn't crowded. Only homes in the area, no condos like Orange beach. Beach was only 2 blocks and the closest pool is on the same street 4 houses down. Fort Morgan park was probably only 10 miles away. Do stock up on groceries before you head out there as the grocery stores are limited.
Our two kids also had a blast. Played in the sand for hours and the sunsets are spectacular. So be careful of the jellyfish though in August.
The only negatives we had were some ants in the kitchen, the tv's and DVD players are from 1990, and there was no grill like the listing says. We even tried to get a grill from the maintenance man and emailed relax on the beach but no luck or responses. Internet is fine, just a little slow. I think they manage from another state.
In the end I did receive a discount off the normal rate prior to booking, but I would make sure there was a grill next time.
