Accommodations: 2 Bedroom, 2 bath lock-off Villa + Convertible beds, Sleeps 4-8. 1,230 square feet.
The Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas North is a new construction with all the modern amenities one could ask for. The two-bedroom lock-off is great for a large or extended family or to share with some friends. The Lanai has chairs and a table so you can enjoy the outdoors without leaving your room.
The property has a number of pools and Jacuzzis to choose from including a pirate pool for younger children with shallow water and slides.
The beach is located just beyond the pools and great for swimming, snorkeling, and long walks and is safe for children. Snorkeling is really good here and we’ve spotted turtles on many occasions. Sunsets are gorgeous down at the beach in case you need a closer look!
There is a wonderful full service spa on site and a games room for the kids when it comes time to take a break from all the sun.
The Villas have a free shuttle service from your resort to the Sheraton, The Westin Hotel, Whalers Village, and to Lahaina and back. It’s a very relaxing way to experience some of these other great spots.
There are on-site concierges at almost every exit door. Use them. They are all eager to help make your stay even better and really know the lay of the land and can make all sorts of recommendations and reservations for you.
We typically shop for food at the Star Markets, just north of the resort. Ask the concierge for directions. If you need any other tips or advice please let us know.
Check in time is 4pm and check out is 10am. In addition, there is a $10 a night room tax to be paid to the resort at checkout.
The parking is free on the premises.
We live in Carmel valley, California, with three kids and two energetic golden retrievers. As a family of five we find relaxation is number one priority and staying in cramped hotel rooms hotels does not fit this bill. We love visiting Hawaii and fell in love with the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort as it allows us to dictate the pace. We particularly love sharing the experience with our friends who can retire to their own space when the day is done.

One has to travel a long way to find a more relaxing and beautiful place than Hawaii. What we love about the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort is the space and comfort of the almost 1300 sq feet Villa with all the resort and beach comforts right at our doorstep. It’s hard to go back to staying in hotel rooms after experiencing the flexibility the Villa offers. I always like to end the day out on the Lanai with a book, warm breeze, and the rustle of the palm trees.
We can’t do seven days of eating out so we love the self-catering aspects of the villa coupled with all the amenities of the resort. Best of both worlds for sure. We arrive with the best intentions of roaming the island but end up spending most of the time by the pool or at the beach....just relaxing. There's so much for the kids to do that we can actually get some relaxing time ourselves. Also, some of the best snorkeling we’ve found on the island is right off the beach at the resort.
