This ideal Teton Valley Vacation Home is located near the forest's edge at the base of the of the Big Hole Mountains, giving it breathtaking views of the Grand Tetons and the Teton River Valley. World class fishing, golfing and skiing as well as hiking and mountain biking are all available within a short drive.

A cozy river rock wood burning fireplace accents the living area of the home. Pine log beams and ceilings as well as granite bathroom counter tops trim the interior.

The spacious loft bedroom with queen bed has its private bathroom and full Teton Mountain views. One main floor bedroom has a queen bed and the other main floor bedroom has two twin beds. All the beds have very comfortable mattresses and plush down comforters.

Great fly fishing is to be found just an hour's drive north to the Henry's Fork or Southeast through Swan Valley to the South Fork of the Snake River, or put your drift boat in the Teton River just 2 or 3 miles away. There are numerous outfitters for fly fishing the local rivers as well as for river rafting. World class golfing is available in the valley. Alpine skiing at Grand Targhee is about 25 miles away and Teton Village Mountain Resort/Jackson Hole is about 45 miles away. The valley offers five groomed cross country ski areas including Teton Canyon, Teton Springs, Alta and Grand Targhee resort.

In addition, in the winter you can snowshoe and cross country ski from the house and quite possibly see moose, deer or even a great Grey Owl. Elk and Trumpeter Swans are also abundant in the area.

Day trips can be added to your vacation to include a trip to see Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park, both about 90 miles away. Or just plan a day to relax, make yourself ''at home'' and catch the morning sunrise over the Grand Teton, take a short hike around Packsaddle Estates or into the forest, read and then fire up the barbeque and enjoy your own western dinner.

Our family enjoyed this cabin so much. We found it to be very clean and very well stocked with all the necessary items. It felt cozy and comfortable but the greatest thing had to be the Grand Teton Views! So Beautiful...thank you so much for making our trip so special.

A great family retreat

Our family rented this property for a week July 23, 2011 and had a wonderful stay. It was very clean, comfortable and actually a great central location for traveling to all the areas natural wonders, ie, Yellowstone, Grand teton Nat'l park, Mesa Falls etc, without the higher cost of Jackson. The people of Teton county were very friendly and welcoming and for a small town Driggs has a number of good restaurants (Tony's, Miso Hungry, the new Mexican restaurant), shops, a great grocery and plenty of places to fish or hike. The only precautionary note would be to watch out for deer and other animals on the road at night when driving to or from the house.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Wonderful little Cabin

Me and my now Fiance stayed July 14t of 2010 for a week or so and loved the cabin and view. we cooked out on the deck and loved the view.Did I say we loved the view yet? wonderful sunrise photos and little prairie dog like animals in the yard. I actually proposed to my girlfriend there by the couch and it will be a special place for us for many years. Would recommend to anyone. Only thing to watch out for is the heat in the summer making a greenhouse effect in the cabin. Thank you for the stay and I hope many happy memories will continue to happen here!

When we stay there, we open the windows--and let the breezes flow in. That seems to keep the cabin cool enough normally. Being located on a ridgetop allows the breeze to flow...kind of like tradewinds in Hawaii. :) HOpe you come back. You were great guests, and I love the story of your proposal!

Comments: We had four wonderful days in your cabin. The cabin is beautifully decorated and was equiped to make our stay very comfortable. We loved the views of the Tetons with our happy hours on the deck and dinner in the dinning area. Janine was great to work with.
