830sq.ft. open suite, king size bed, queen futon, 1 bathroom, lanai,sleeps 3

Located on the point at Makaha. Sandy and coral beach fronting this brand new open suite with complete kitchen, complete bathroom, linens and paper products, new large washer and dryer, side-by-side refrigerator with ice maker, micro wave oven, electric range, large closet and drawers, propane gas barbecue, lawn furniture,etc. Suite is the bottom floor of my three story home on the beach. We are approximately 80 feet from the waters edge. There are two wading pools in the coral out front! Lifeguards and play ground equipment are located at the surfing beach approximately 200 yards from our home. Lots of car parking with electric entry gate on this 18,000 sqft parcel. Car: recommended

Makaha is located at the end of the Leeward Coast of Oahu. Mostly parks and recreation are located on the ocean side of our coast with very little residential housing to block the beautiful view of the blue ocean and sand beaches. Waianae Boat Harbor is just three miles from our place. You can do whale , dolphin and fishing excursions. We have Makaha Golf Resort for fine dining and Army Beach Club the way it was 40 years ago at Pokai Bay. If you want a local experience back when, then come out to Makaha, and meet real gracious Hawaiian people.

  • This studio suite is approximately 830 sqft. It is one large open room with a king size Murphy bed and a sofa futon. The kitchen area has an electric range, disposal, granite counter top, and lots of cabinets, all utensils and towels, new side-by-side refrigerator with ice maker, new washer and dryer, all linens included. There are two eight foot sliding glass doors giving a panoramic view to Makaha oceanfront next to the king size bed. Two ceiling fans, large T.V., VCR and DVD with large stereo speakers. The furniture is all rattan collectible pieces with fine floor rugs. Everything is top notch and new. You won't be disappointed.

Mahalo to Richard and Gerry for having such a wonderful vacation rental. It was the perfect place for a relaxing, quiet, waterfront/beach destination. Richard and Gerry have equiped the rental with all the necessities and it is very comfortable and homey. My time there was completely enjoyable and thoroughly relaxing. The area was beautiful. I would go back again, and again, and again.

Beautiful and peaceful!

I was here for 4 nights as part of my son's Senior Class Trip from San Diego. I was their Activity Coordinator and needed to stay close to them since they ware at the Waianae Camp 10 minutes away. What a beautiful studio and so spacious! It had everything I could possibly need and I could see how a small family could fit there comfortably with the King Side Bed and 2 futons. The kitchen was large and had all the pots and pans you would need. The best part was sleeping to the sound of the waves and then waking up to the view of the ocean and the rocks. It is literally just a few feet away. The owners were very nice and they reside on another part of the house, but this studio is private and I liked how it was gated and I felt very safe. It was just a couple of doors down from Makaha Beach, which has a wide expanse of sand and beautiful water. Yes, it is about 40 minutes from Waikiki but it is a good change of pace here on this side of the island. Just be respectful of the local culture and the local residents:)

We are home and getting used to the cold Canadian winter again. We like to thank you for the great time we had in your beautiful home, watching from the patio, only about 20 m away from the ocean the awesome surf, young surfers and whales, listening to the unforgetable sound of the powerful ocean and watching the stars at night. We will never forget that. Some day we certainly will be back.
You and your wife are very lucky people to live your life in such a great spot.

Everytime we visit this wonderful, inviting and unique oasis, we have such a lovely and relaxing vacation!
Truly, it couldn't be better....the beach, the tide pools, whales, dolphins, swimming, surfing, snorkling, perfect sunsets - all right outside your sliding glass doors. Plus everything you need inside - kitchen, laundry, cable TV with very comfortable living amenities!

Peace and tranquility

We satyed here for a week. There is an courtyard inside to park your car. Two doors down from Makaha Beach never crowded. cool side of the island very laid back.The room was very large and spacious, enough room for a small family.The double sliding glass doors open to a large back yard complete with tables, grill, and beautiful view of the ocean. Walk out the doors down a side walk and right into the water. some of the most spectacular sunset I've ever seen!!!
