A true weekend getaway! Completely secluded with outstanding views from snow-capped Mt. Baker and the Cascade Range, in the east, multiple islands seemingly floating in the sound in the north and northwest, plus the sparkling lights of Vancouver in the evening.

A newer, lovely cabin on Buck Mountain awaits you. Enjoy summer light until late in the evening, followed by rosy sunsets and then, star-filled skies. 10 acres for you to enjoy walks, games, a night at the fire pit roasting marshmallows, or sitting in the hot tub enjoying the magical views!
About Victoria Shaner

My husband, Bathan, built this cabin for us in 2004 and it was our home for the first 5 years of our marriage. It will forever hold a special place in our hearts! It was where we were engaged, the place he carried me through the door for the first time after we said our vows, and we hope to one day move back to this beautiful, secluded property. So, please don't miss out on this opportunity to experience a one-of-a-kind getaway.

We were fortunate enough to buy this beautiful property in '99, and build our very first home, this cabin, as newly weds in 2004. When we set our eyes on this property, we knew this was where we wanted to build.

One of the most special benefits is when you first arrive. You realize you're removed from it all, surrounded by complete beauty, serenity, peace, and freedom to roam as we own the 13 acres around the cabin. It is truly a breath of fresh air every time we drive up the driveway!

This a great weekend getaway find. So quiet and relaxing. The views and the scenery are absolutely beautiful. We had everything we needed to be comfortable. Victoria made the booking so easy and provided information on the island (dining, events, etc). We definitely plan on returning.

Well worth it

What a beautiful little cabin and location. We loved every moment of our stay - and well, we figured if we could fall in love with the place at the end of January, it must be amazing when the weather is warm.
Like others have mentioned, we ate in the whole time just because we did not want to go out - there was so much to enjoy right there.
The kitchen is well appointed and you will lack for nothing. The bed was so comfortable, the bathroom is huge, and there's laundry facilities.
The view is stunning, and the hot tub is perfectly situated to take advantage of the view as well.
Also, the cabin was impeccably clean. The only thing it needs is a fireplace.... that was the only thing I missed.
It was our first visit to Orcas and it will not be our last. Thank you for your hospitality, Victoria!

What a place. The wife and I went on our first anniversary. After meeting with the owner, we made our way to the property. Not 5 minutes later she came down the driveway bringing us a bundle of flowers. What a nice suprise. The views are amazing and the cabin delightful. Very private. Super comfy bed. Slept like a baby every night. Ate in the entire time. Cabin came with everything that we needed to prepare meals. Hot tub under the stars. Hiking during the day. We plan on staying at this wonderful cabin next year as well. The island is a beautiful place and I highly recommend reserving this cabin for your next trip.

Perfect Retreat

What a lovely cozy cabin and the perfect setting for a weekend away. The view is surreal - the Sound, islands and even Mt Baker on a clear day. Pick up food to prepare in Eastsound as the kitchen is well stocked plus a nice grill outside. We ate dinner on the deck with a view that no restaurant could compete with. Thanks for this gem, I'm sure we'll be back.

The cabin was all we had hoped for and more! Beautiful view, the hot tub was great, the cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed. The ladder up to the loft was VERY steep...people with mobility issues would have a very difficult time getting up it! The bed was soooo comfortable and the view was amazing. Thank you!
