Well known Taos artist Jim Wagner designed the colorful interior and much of the furniture in this restored adobe circa 1795. Quiet and convenient location is a 10 minute walk to the Taos Plaza, museums, restaurants, grocery store, and galleries.

We love dogs and cats! Bring you canine or feline companion with you to stay at Casa Pajaro.

If you enjoy cooking, you will love the fully equipped kitchen. Includes coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, waffle iron and complete set of high quality cookware.

A Perfect Winter Holiday Week at Casa Pajaro

What a delightful surprise to enter the community of La Loma Plaza, the Casa Pajaro courtyard & the colorful Casa. The location met our needs exactly---we could walk to our favorite restaurants, shops, galleries, & the ski area shuttle---with nowhere inTaos seeming more than a five to ten minute drive away. The Casa layout was perfect for two couples & our dogs---with the two bedrooms separated by the commons areas. Even though the outside temperature was near zero, we were very cozy & warm inside thanks to the thick adobe walls & baseboard heaters. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful snowfalls & sunrises from the front entry porch with the bench, table & chairs. The complete Casa was very thoughtfully supplied with all imaginable & some surprise amenities. Meals in the thoroughly equipped kitchen around the colorful table were very pleasant. Because of the wonderful beds & thick walls, we slept very well. The Jim Wagner interior was so colorful, cheery, & detailed that we were always making new discoveries. The entire premises were immaculately clean & everything functioned well. The neighbors were very friendly, helpful, & informative. Allison was very responsive & professional to deal with. We are excited about returning to Casa Pajaro soon.

Enchanted Adobe

This house really brings home the idea that New Mexico is the "Land of Enchantment." The photos give a good idea of the whimsical artwork that adorns the house but they cannot begin to convey the house's charm. Everyday we would find something new that we had not noticed before.
The property was clean, well-maintained and had a well-appointed kitchen. I brought my dogs with me and they loved sitting out in the patio and poking their heads through the hearts cut in the gate.
This house is a lot of fun and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. I would love to come back.

Ski Christmas In Taos

This was such a lovely place to stay. Clean, comfortable, cozy with a wonderful fire place and all the wood you need. Beds great and central kitchen with all the goodies to make one's holiday a success. Location is very convenient to downtown Taos , yet secluded and secure. Great parking and historical appeal. Actually, could not wait to get back from the slopes to enjoy this wonderful rental The owner was very accommodating and prompt in all correspondence. If you want a great vacation place, this is it. We will definitely come back again.

A great home away from home

Our stay in Casa Pajaro was one of our most pleasant and memorable vacations. We found the house clean, comfortable and allergy-friendly when we arrived and it was easy to maintain during our stay. The location on La Loma Plaza is set back from the street far enough to almost eliminate traffic noise; the neighbors were friendly and the evenings were quiet.

The decoration of the house was a real treat. Jim Wagner (the artist) did a great job of weaving his theme (birds, hearts and of course some fish in the bathroom) throughout the home. The landlord was friendly and immediately helpful when we had to fix one minor glitch during our stay.

We will recommend Casa Pajaro to any friends and relatives planning to visit Taos. When we return to the area, it will be first on our list.

Amazing Home away from home

We recently stayed at this lovely casa for a long weekend with our two children. The colors are gorgeous and the attention to detail is breathtaking. You will literally see something new each day you stay in this house. The plaza is quiet and very close to downtown. The bedding is so comfy and the waffle maker and mix is an added bonus. We stayed in the casa over my birthday weekend and this is truly a birthday I will never forget. We will definitely be coming back next year!!
