Feel the gentle breezes flowing through this clean newly decorated studio condo. It has spectacular views of mountains and Ala Wai Golf Course. It has a wonderful lanai to watch sunsets from or have a pleasant breakfast before starting your fun filled day. Walk on the beach or just relax at the pool or read in the great front lobby area. My condo has a full kitchen including cookware and appliances. It has a washer and dryer in the unit. It has secure covered parking, 24/7 on site security, cable and WiFi. It's a short block walk to the beach, the bus, shopping, dining and nightlife. Enjoy the Aloha of Hawaii from my lovely 23rd floor unit in Waikiki.
I hesitate to write a review for fear it might jeopardize my ability to book in the future.
This condo was perfect for two people. It looks just like the pictures and couldn't have been better. Elaine was easy to work with from start to finish. Our security deposit was returned within the week of our return. As for the condo itself, it was spotless. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bed is comfortable. It was great having a washer and dryer in the unit. The lanai has comfortable furniture and the view is amazing. Added bonuses for this condo are that it has A/C, a feature that was much needed the week we were there, as well as free wifi. It also has a designated parking place included. The building has 24 hour security. We definitely felt safe at all times. There is a rooftop pool and barbques. There is a grocery store on the same street, The Food Panty, making it easy to cook some of your meals in.
The condo is within easy walking distance of the beach, shops and restaurants. Elaine provides beach chairs, towels and a cooler.
We enjoyed our stay very much and will look to book again when we travel to Oahu.
After some slight confusion on how to get into condo, it was perfect. It was convenient to stores, shopping and walking to Waikiki Beach. It had all the amenities we needed. The beach chairs were an added plus, as we went to go watch our granddaughter paddle canoe. We also brought the cooler that was provided on many of our road trips. The beach towels came in handy as we had the grandchildren over for a swim in the wonderful pool on the roof. We also used the barbeque grill that was available. It was so nice to cook steak on the grill and be able to enjoy "dining" on the rooftop overlooking the city. Parking stall was available which was absolutely needed in the area. It was was also close and convenient to the elevators. The building was extremely secure. If your looking for a well equipped studio, reasonably priced, that is close to everything you need in Waikiki, then I highly recommend this condo. Elaine was very easy to work with, and very courteous, efficient and professional. We will be returning to the area again in a couple years and will definitely be calling Elaine to rent from her again. Thank you Elaine for the use of your beautiful, well maintained, clean condo.
The condo unit and location was perfect for us. Everything was as described. The building was very secure, quiet and clean. Easy walk to Food Pantry, the beach, shopping and buses. The rooftop pool and barbecues were great to have. The unit itself had everything we needed plus more. We loved having the wireless Internet for keeping in touch with the kids at home. All the extras like cooler, ice pack, beach chairs, maps and bus schedules etc were wonderful. Having a washer and dryer right in the room was so convenient. We liked being on the 23rd floor. It was quieter than some of the lower floor condos plus the view was great. We enjoyed watching the rowing club practice on the canal. We loved the building and unit and highly recommend renting from Elaine.
My husband and I stayed here for 12 days. It was in a great location... within a short walking distance to restaurants and the beach. We appreciated the parking space, security, and all of the little extras provided, like a cooler, beach mats, etc. Having laundry in the unit was helpful. The unit has been updated, and it was very clean. We will definitely refer our family and friends to Elaine, the owner. She was a pleasure to work with.
My husband, daughter and I spent a fabulous week at the Aloha Lani while exploring Waikiki and the remainder of the island. Very convenient walking distance to the beach and destinations along Waikiki...close to the night life.....everyone could come and go as they pleased. One of the high points of our trip (besides the incredible mai tai's) was watching the filming of Hawaii 5-0 on Waikiki Beach. Although we enjoyed not being so automobile dependant for all of our Waikiki activities, this condo also served as a very convenient "base station" for trips to North Shore, Pearl Harbor, Makapu Point and other popular tourist destinations. We rented snorkeling gear for the week from a dive shop just around the corner from the condo and had it in the trunk of our car......ready to explore several of the snorkeling spots on the island. We met other island natives such as sea turtles, tropical fish and even an octopus! Tastefully decorated, with upgraded amenities and a great view of the mountains from the living area, we were able to make ourselves quite at home in this spacious condo. Little touches like beach chairs and beach towels made us feel very welcome. Although we didn't do much full scale cooking at the condo--the condo's kitchen was fully equipped for all of our needs should we have decided to cook. This was truly a memorable experience. We are already planning our return visit.
My wife and I stayed here for 10 days in November 2010. We could not have been more pleased with the accommodations and plan to stay here for our next trip to Waikiki.
Like many properties in this area it is not on the beach; however, it is a short walk (under 10 minutes for 2 old and out-of-shape people) to get there. I researched different locations quite heavily and found that staying “on the beach” was 4-5 times more expensive. Since our money was not unlimited, I’m glad we choose 10 days @ Elaine’s as opposed to 2 or 3 days on the beach!
The apartment makes excellent use of space and is nicely decorated, with a light and airy Aloha feel. It was perfect for 2 people and we never felt crowded. Although it was not large, it did provide everything we needed. We were able to get by with carryon luggage only, due to the washer and dryer. We didn’t bring much, but we wanted for nothing, including a cooler, beach chairs and beach towels.
We had originally not planned on renting a car since parking is expensive in Waikiki. ($20-$30 per day) Since this place came with parking, we rented a car so we could have more mobility. The space is excellent. You pull into the garage and it is the second space on the right. Could it be any easier? We drove quite a bit since parking was such a breeze…
There is a reasonable grocery store kitty corner to the location of the building, but we didn’t shop there much. Since we had a car, we did a major stock @ Costco and also hit Safeway 3 times. We ate breakfast in and packed a lunch to take with us most days. At night we either ate out or stayed in, depending on how much energy we had left. The kitchen was well stocked, and I had no problem in finding everything I needed to cook a nice meal or open a bottle of wine. (We saved so much money that my wife was able to stock up some clothes. Unexpected surprise!)
The lanai is spacious and has a great view. We made it our routine to read and sip coffee there in the mornings. Wi-Fi worked fine, and we would check our email or surf the net occasionally. Roof top view was excellent. We never used the grills or the pool, but they looked fine.
In short, the place felt like home! We live in Alaska and winter is upon us. We dream of the day when we can return to our “Hawaiian home.”
Enjoy the excitement of Waikiki. My unit is 3 short blocks from the beach. Enjoy the nightlife, people watching, shopping, the aquarium, the zoo and of course all the water activities. Watch the sun set over the ocean from the lanai or watch paddlers going down the Ala Wai canal.
